About this sitter
I am dutch. Single, female, 73 years old. I live in the centre of Amsterdam. I love cats and dogs. I speak french, english and some german. As I am retired I have the time to travel and mind your home and your cats and dogs or other animals.
I am a caring, responsible person. Non smoker. I do not have a car. I do not have a driving licence...
Why they want to house sit
I love cats (and dogs). I like to go abroad and meet other people. Minding the house and pets for someone is a great way to be of help and to have a good experience myself. I could do some gardening and watering plants and other things... So far petsitting has been a great experience for me.

Yes, I am. I had two cats myself. When I had cats I sometimes had someone to look after my cats and I looked after cats in exchange. In june 2017 I looked after a cat and dog in Paris for a long weekend.They asked me again several times. Together with my sister I looked after 3 cats and one dog in Bergerac – France and I came back many times - one time with my sister and the other times alone- I made several friends there. I looked after a lovely dog and two cats in Edinburgh in May 2018 and I also minded cats in Portugal (February and April 2018, in 2021, 2022, 2022 and in 2024. In August 2018 and 2019 I looked after two cats in Spain. In January 2019 I looked after a cat in Wales. Also petsitting in Nice (cat) and Mérignac (Bordeaux) - several times (2 cats and one dog). I also minded a sweet cat in Rillieux-la-Pape (Lyon) twice, many times two cats in Montélimar, once two cats in Brussels and once a cat in Marseille,
twice two cats in Antwerp. I also was a cat sitter in Verona. Minded a dog in Portugal as well. I also walked a dog in Amsterdam two/three times a week for a friend who was ill. I looked after a dog, cat and two poneys for a friend In France. I also minded three times a lovely dog in Tours (France) and I looked after a small dog in Siorac-en-Perigord. I also took care of cats in the Netherlands: one cat in Hilversum (2 times) and 2 cats in Haarlem and a cat plus dog in Haarlem a few times. I minded a cat in Rotterdam and two in Amsterdam (two different places) as well. Not finished yet: cats in England (4 different addresses). In 2025 I minded cats in Marseille, New York and London. So far I loved doing it and I had an excellent experience. Most of the petsitting was by MindMyHouse. I also minded cats in Paris, Toulouse, Marseille, Tavira in Portugal and Manchester by Nomador.

Very reliable sitter for our cats
We found Willy as our catsitter just a few days before we had to leave our place and our cats for a trip, so flexible of her eventhough she had to come from further away, which we appreciate a lot! It was a very friendly in-person meeting just before our departure and even with not much time to show her everything we knew our flat was in the best hands for the time away. And while away, we reliably received little updates & photos of the cats here and there - it was especially surprising to see how quick Willy became friends with our little ones :-) Goes to show how trustworthy and experienced she is. We give her our unreserved recommendation as a pet sitter! And thanks again!

Excellent sitter
Willy took such good care of Kevin and my home while I was gone! She sent regular updates, and Kevin seemed very relaxed when I returned. The house was clean and everything was just as I had left it. I would definitely have her back!

Lovely sitter, available and flexible
Willy has been a great sitter to Ziggy and Roxy. This has been our second sitter experience on Mind My House and she was impeccable. Willy kept us updated sending pictures and updates about the cats, making sure that their needs were met. We also exchanged trip updates with pleasure and she made sure our van was where we left it. Thank you Willy to make our holiday worry-free and to make our cats close to us even on holiday. You are a great fun and lovely person. Wish you all the best and hopefully we will meet again.

Willy a été absolument parfaite
Willy a été absolument parfaite ! Très agréable au téléphone, elle a noté mes attentes pour ce home-sitting et s’est très bien occupé de mes deux chats (qui l’ont adorée) et de mon intérieur. Elle m’a envoyé des nouvelles régulièrement et a eu la gentillesse d’aller acheter de l’herbe à chat (rupture de stock avant mon départ), alors même qu’elle a dû y aller 3 fois pour enfin en trouver ! Et pour finir, Willy m’a laissé une petite surprise… bien réconfortante après un long voyage. C’est une personne adorable et je vous la recommande vivement. J’espère avoir l’occasion de l’accueillir de nouveau :)

Le séjour avec Willy s'est très bien passé
Le séjour avec Willy s'est très bien passé ! La communication avant le séjour était efficace et agréable, pendant le séjour elle m'envoyait des nouvelles de mon chat tous les jours. Elle a su donner sans problème un médicament à mon chat et se débrouiller pour trouver tout ce dont elle avait besoin dans l'appartement. Quand je suis rentrée, tout était propre et en ordre, Willy a eu plein de petites attentions qui m'ont beaucoup touchée,et le plus important: mon chat allait très bien (alors que c'est un grand anxieux)! Je pense qu'il était même un peu déçu que ce soit moi qui rentre et pas Willy 😂! Bref, tout s'est merveilleusement bien passé.

Willy m'a permis de partir sereinement en vacances et d'être apaisée tout au long de mon voyage. Elle s'est super bien occupé de Pirate, mon chat, lui qui est très craintif il a senti sa bienveillance et s'est laissé amadouer. Mon appartement a été très bien entretenu. Flexible, reliable and trustworthy
Willy stayed in our place during 9 days and took great care of Billie and Mitzi, as well and our house and our garden! Communication with her has been very easy, she is flexible, reliable and trustworthy and left our house in a perfect state. The perfect cat sitter!
Willy is the cat sitter of my dreams. She didn't let herself be fooled by Midori who looks at you with that "I haven't eaten in days" look and ostentatiously licks the empty bowl, which could tear your heart out if you don't have a minimum of experience or know not to fall for it! She kept me constantly updated on their days together. I returned to a perfectly clean and tidy house. An excellent companion
Willy was an excellent companion to my gentle loving galgo, Luna. They bonded beautifully together and were very comfortable with each other from the start. I felt totally comfortable leaving Luna in Willy's able care, with Willy sending me updates, photos and videos every day. My house was also kept in top condition during her stay. I would recommend Willy as a very good responsible pet sitter to anyone with a well-behaved dog or cat and would gladly welcome her back to my home.

Willy makes organising easy
This is the second time Willy has come to my flat in Manchester, this time to look after my new rescue Milosh! Willy makes organising easy and is a great communicator and very friendly. She is lovely with cats and Milosh was happy and relaxed when I returned. I got daily updates with photos which I appreciated lots. Thanks Willy, come back any time! :)

Super Housesitter

Willy is a lovely person and an amazing pet sitter
We are more than happy to have had Willy taking care of our two cats, Winston and Tequila. Willy is a lovely person and an amazing pet sitter. She took great care of our two cats and our home. She sent us regular pics and kept us updated about the little ones. I noticed she truly loves and cares for animals, which allowed us to go away completely at ease. Wonderful lady and cat sitter!
Willy was taking care of our 2 cats and in December 2021. She is a very reliable and organized person and our cats enjoyed her company for 2 weeks. She kept our apartment clean and tidy, and we were in contact every day. She is a wonderful lady and very easy to communicate with. We highly recommend her as a pet sitter and looking forward to seeing her again. Willy will always be welcomed in our home and our cats would be very happy to see her too :)

Wonderful Willy
Willy came to stay for a week and it all went very well from our side. Willy was easy-going and friendly, clearly capable of looking after our house and favourite dog with her experience and attention and good care. We are grateful to her for taking care of everything while we were away and would not hesitate to invite her again if the occasion were to arise..

Friendly and excellent petsitter
Willy is very friendly so it was a pleasant contact from the start. She let me know everything was fine during the petsit. Both my cats were very relaxed when I came home which is a relief because they are shy and easily stressed. And she left my apartment clean and tidy, always a nice home-coming.

Our cat loved Willy's gentle nature
Willy came and looked after our cat, Pixie, for two 11-day periods during the summer of 2021, and we were delighted with how things went. Willy is very organised and all her travel arrangements from the Netherlands went smoothly. Pixie is a nervous cat and often runs away and hides when new people enter the house, but Willy has a lovely quiet manner and Pixie clearly felt relaxed with her and very soon they were good friends. Willy loves cats - and Pixie could tell! When we were away Willy sent us regular updates and photographs to let us know that Pixie was OK which was very reassuring for us. When we returned home the house was beautifully clean and tidy and Pixie was relaxed and happy. We are hoping that Willy will come to look after Pixie again and we highly recommend her.
