About this sitter
I am dutch. Single, female, 74 years old. I live in the centre of Amsterdam. I love cats and dogs. I speak french, english and some german. As I am retired I have the time to travel and mind your home and your cats and dogs or other animals.
I am a caring, responsible person. Non smoker. I do not have a car. I do not have a driving licence...
Why they want to house sit
I love cats (and dogs). I like to go abroad and meet other people. Minding the house and pets for someone is a great way to be of help and to have a good experience myself. I could do some gardening and watering plants and other things... So far petsitting has been a great experience for me.

Yes, I am. I had two cats myself. When I had cats I sometimes had someone to look after my cats and I looked after cats in exchange. In june 2017 I looked after a cat and dog in Paris for a long weekend.They asked me again several times. Together with my sister I looked after 3 cats and one dog in Bergerac – France and I came back many times - one time with my sister and the other times alone- I made several friends there. I looked after a lovely dog and two cats in Edinburgh in May 2018 and I also minded cats in Portugal (February and April 2018, in 2021, 2022, 2022 and in 2024. In August 2018 and 2019 I looked after two cats in Spain. In January 2019 I looked after a cat in Wales. Also petsitting in Nice (cat) and Mérignac (Bordeaux) - several times (2 cats and one dog). I also minded a sweet cat in Rillieux-la-Pape (Lyon) twice, many times two cats in Montélimar, once two cats in Brussels and once a cat in Marseille,
twice two cats in Antwerp. I also was a cat sitter in Verona. Minded a dog in Portugal as well. I also walked a dog in Amsterdam two/three times a week for a friend who was ill. I looked after a dog, cat and two poneys for a friend In France. I also minded three times a lovely dog in Tours (France) and I looked after a small dog in Siorac-en-Perigord. I also took care of cats in the Netherlands: one cat in Hilversum (2 times) and 2 cats in Haarlem and a cat plus dog in Haarlem a few times. I minded a cat in Rotterdam and two in Amsterdam (two different places) as well. Not finished yet: cats in England (4 different addresses). In 2025 I minded cats in Marseille, New York and London. So far I loved doing it and I had an excellent experience. Most of the petsitting was by MindMyHouse. I also minded cats in Paris, Toulouse, Marseille, Tavira in Portugal and Manchester by Nomador.

The cats couldnt be happier! Me, too!!
Willie was absolutely amazing, and we feel so lucky that she came to house sit and look after our cats for three and a half weeks. From the very beginning, she was lovely, thoughtful and incredibly kind. She kept in touch with us every day, sending updates and letting us know how the cats were doing, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. What really stood out was how well Willie understood each of our cats and their individual personalities. She clearly spent a lot of time with them, gave them so much attention and genuinely cared for them. They were incredibly relaxed and happy when we returned - honestly, I’m not sure they missed us at all! They were also beautifully groomed; I don’t think I have ever seen Harry’s fur looking so silky. Willie also took wonderful care of our home. We came back to a spotlessly clean house, and she had even prepared little things to make our arrival home more comfortable. Everything she did had a thoughtful, personal touch. Most of all, Willie is simply a genuinely kind, warm-natured person, and I am so grateful that she was able to spend this time with our cats. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better, and I sincerely hope we will have the chance to welcome her back again in the future.

Kind, communicative, experienced cat sitter
Willy was the perfect sitter for my first foray into using Mind My House. She came highly recommended and offered to set up a video interview as soon as I contacted her. She generously to came to New York a day early to ensure we could overlap in person while I introduced her to my cat and apartment. It was very reassuring to receive twice daily What's app updates since I missed my cat while I was on the other side of the world. Willy bonded with my cat and enjoyed spending time with him, and taking adventures throughout New York City. Upon return, my apartment was cleaner than I left it and my cat very at ease. If you want a kind, communicative, experienced sitter who expresses joy and curiosity about traveling and exploring the world, Willy is the perfect person for you! I would gladly have her back if she wanted a return trip to New York in the future!

Impeccable as always
Willy sitted our house and cats another time successfully. Indeed, we were so happy and things worked out so much the first time that we asked her to sit a second one. Willy was great as always and we were so happy to know the cats were left with someone they knew already and we did not have to explain again everything to someone else. Very reliable sitter for our cats
We found Willy as our catsitter just a few days before we had to leave our place and our cats for a trip, so flexible of her eventhough she had to come from further away, which we appreciate a lot! It was a very friendly in-person meeting just before our departure and even with not much time to show her everything we knew our flat was in the best hands for the time away. And while away, we reliably received little updates & photos of the cats here and there - it was especially surprising to see how quick Willy became friends with our little ones :-) Goes to show how trustworthy and experienced she is. Excellent sitter
Willy took such good care of Kevin and my home while I was gone! She sent regular updates, and Kevin seemed very relaxed when I returned. The house was clean and everything was just as I had left it. I would definitely have her back!

Lovely sitter, available and flexible
Willy has been a great sitter to Ziggy and Roxy. This has been our second sitter experience on Mind My House and she was impeccable. The perfect cat sitter!
Willy is the cat sitter of my dreams. She didn't let herself be fooled by Midori who looks at you with that "I haven't eaten in days" look and ostentatiously licks the empty bowl, which could tear your heart out if you don't have a minimum of experience or know not to fall for it! She kept me constantly updated on their days together. I returned to a perfectly clean and tidy house. Wonderful lady and cat sitter!
Willy was taking care of our 2 cats and in December 2021. She is a very reliable and organized person and our cats enjoyed her company for 2 weeks. She kept our apartment clean and tidy, and we were in contact every day. She is a wonderful lady and very easy to communicate with. We highly recommend her as a pet sitter and looking forward to seeing her again. Willy will always be welcomed in our home and our cats would be very happy to see her too :)

Wonderful Willy
Willy came to stay for a week and it all went very well from our side. Willy was easy-going and friendly, clearly capable of looking after our house and favourite dog with her experience and attention and good care. Friendly and excellent petsitter
Willy is very friendly so it was a pleasant contact from the start. She let me know everything was fine during the petsit. Both my cats were very relaxed when I came home which is a relief because they are shy and easily stressed. And she left my apartment clean and tidy, always a nice home-coming.

Our cat loved Willy's gentle nature
Willy came and looked after our cat, Pixie, for two 11-day periods during the summer of 2021, and we were delighted with how things went. Willy is very organised and all her travel arrangements from the Netherlands went smoothly. Pixie is a nervous cat and often runs away and hides when new people enter the house, but Willy has a lovely quiet manner and Pixie clearly felt relaxed with her and very soon they were good friends. Willy loves cats - and Pixie could tell! When we were away Willy sent us regular updates and photographs to let us know that Pixie was OK which was very reassuring for us. When we returned home the house was beautifully clean and tidy and Pixie was relaxed and happy. We are hoping that Willy will come to look after Pixie again and we highly recommend her. A friend for life for our tiny chihuahua Luna!
We can not thank Willy enough for coming to sit for our chihuahua Luna! We had a the pleasure of spending the first night together to meet her before we headed off which was a real treat and we enjoyed having the chance to get to know Willy a little. We had daily updates and photographs about Luna and nothing was too much for Willy who we wouldn’t hesitate to welcome back and do hope she’ll come again one day. A true best friend for life for Luna who I’m sure will miss Willy after 2 weeks together as pals! Truly cannot say enough kind words, thank you again.

Friendly, Reliable, Tidy and Organised
Willy was an unbelievable housesitter. Even before she arrived, Willy was flexible and cheerful about changing arrival arrangements. On arrival and after, Willy kept me informed and up-to-date about the house and my cat, Gary. I appreciated the regular messages and photos which were most reassuring. She took care of the house beautifully, leaving it extremely clean and tidy. Although Gary doesn't present any special difficulties of course he has his habits and quirks and needs. Willy seemed to understand and catered to them all. I arrived to find a healthy and happy cat, but not so happy he didn't miss me! I think.
