About this sitter
50-something, experienced hands-on, animal adoring ( CPD qualified in animal first aid) house sitter! I like a quiet house-sit and am in my element caring for animals and gardens/grounds. I am a non-smoker, love being outdoors, appreciate good wine and food and like to take my art with me wherever I go.
Why they want to house sit
I enjoy travelling and experiencing living in new places - I'm not really a hotel kind of person and prefer to live as the locals do and getting a real feel for where I am and enjoying new experiences.
Their experience
Yes! Have house/animal sat in the UK, Spain and france on many occasions. I lived on an isolated island for some time and learnt very quickly how to become incredibly resourceful! I'm familiar with caring for pools, happy driving farm machinery, boats, etc. Happy to take on any challenge too!
What can they bring to the assignment
A wealth of experience! I've house/animal sat everything from a chateau in need of renovation, to sheep, goats, dogs, pigs, to cats, to caring for gites and guests. I am a non smoker, clean and tidy, very calm and hands on - able to fix many things and can cope well in an emergency. I love spending time with animals and being outdoors. I worked for several years running a gite rental business near Bordeaux and have been the assistant manager of a Lakeland hotel since 2015...... so am super organised, great with guests and planning. I'm friendly and have a fab sense of humour too!

I cannot recommend Wendy enough! Not only did i feel confident and relaxed in leaving my cat and flat in Wendys capable hands. I also really enjoyed meeting her . A fellow animal lover Wendy took great care of Pooh my cat as well as coping seamlessly with my little houses qùirks . No words there than Super
Have never used this kind of service and it was a big gamble, especially with my fur babies but I struck gold. Loves animals, respectful, common sense and a lovely person to boot. We even stopped by and met up several times when when visited her neck of the woods in the UK. Absolutely no qualms recommending to anyone. Hopefully, no only have I gained someone I trust implicitly to look after the house and family when convenient for us all but also have gained a friend.

Housesit in Perigord Region, Dordogne
Wendy and her partner have housesat for us on many occasions at our property in France. She is a wonderful carer of pets, particularly cats and dogs, and our two cats loved spending time with her. She can be trusted absolutely to take very good care of your home and pets and I cannot recommend her highly enough.
