About this sitter
We are an experienced housitter couple with references. We like to explore the world and all it has to offer. We are a Dutch couple and currently living in The Netherlands. ( near German border) Wendy is multi lingual. She speaks Portugese, French, Deutsch, English and a bit Spanish.She really likes to meet new people, has great communication skills and likes to cook. Paul is a quality advisor and auditor in the youth-care. He likes to play golf and tennis, read a good book and he enjoys the quit life. We both like working in the garden and to take care and play with your pets. Housesitting to us is a good way to experience the life in another country.
Why they want to house sit
Housesitting to us is a good way to meet new people in their own environment. And it is nice to be a help for home-owners who want to enjoy a holliday and leave their furry friends in good hands. We love animals and are more then willing to give them the care they need. We enjoy new experiences and are always curious towards other cultures. Living in someone else's house gives a more in-depth experience. As a tourist you only see the surface of things.

We are very experienced housesitters. We did 6 months in 2018 various housesits in the UK. All references can be checked and provided if needed.
Wendy alone had housesits in France, Sweden and Holland.
Update 2020: We have enjoyed 15 housesits with enormous pleasure.
Update 2023: We completed more then 20 housesits in various countries all over the world.
What can they bring to the assignment
Our listing title is dutiful Duchies. It is obvious we are Dutch but we take much pleasure in being dutiful. We have our own house in Holland and therefor we know how importent it is to take good care of your house and pets. We are trustworthy, tidy and organised people. So your house will be treated in that way. There is no place like home. We are middle aged, non smokers, well educated and responsible adults. We are no party people and are willing to give you a regular update if needed.

My husband and myself are delighted with the quality of house and pet minder we experienced this winter with Wendy Viera-Looijer . Wendy is an excellent communicator and helped guide us through our first foray into utilizing Mind My House. She immediately forged a relationship with our two cats through her calm and competent demeanor. Throughout our absence, she kept in touch through WhatsApp-even sending us photos of the cats regularly. We really appreciated that. When we returned after a month away, we found our cats very well cared for. They had obviously been groomed regularly and were in great shape. She even noticed a possible health concern and notified us immediately. In addition to the pets, the house was also maintained in excellent condition. Wendy did an outstanding job minding our pets and home and we cannot recommend her more highly. We would be delighted to welcome her back to Kinsale at any time.

Amazing people
Paul and Wendy looked after my home and two cats for over a week. They were reliable and efficient in communication. My cats were clearly well cared for and my house was left tidy and organized when I returned. I could not have hoped for a better housesitting team. Reliable sitter brilliant with cats
Wendy was a fantastic person to look after our house and our nervous cat - within 24 hours he was sitting next to her on the sofa as if she was an old friend! She kept us updated on everything and the house was clean and tidy whne we returned; highly recommended and we would be very happy to have her back.

The perfect sitters
Paul and Wendy were absolutely wonderful and we were very lucky to have them as our first house sitters. They took very good care of our cat, sent us some pictures and updates if we wanted to and left the apartment in a very tidied, clean condition. They have been such friendly, nice people who made the experience easy for us and made us feel very calm and relaxed all the time. We totally recommend them!! ??

Reliable, friendly, clear
Wendy came to us for one week and took very well care of Sam & Simba as well as all the fishes in our house. Throughout the stay she kept us up to date and regularly shared pictures of her great time. We can only recommend her cat sitting skills and hopefully connect soon again.

Friendly and approachable
Wendy house and cat sat (2 cats) for us back in March/April for two weeks. Wendy was friendly and approachable. She kept the house clean and did her best to accommodate our elderly cat. She provided us with updates and pictures which we appreciated. If you are looking for a sitter, we recommend Wendy.

I'm so glad we had Wendy and Paul stay with our dogs
What a lovely couple. They cared for our house and dogs so well. Communication was regular and fantastic. Wendy sent me pics of the pups and kept me posted on how they were doing. They followed our routines and gave them medicines as required. It was great to go on holiday knowing our girls were well cared for in their own home. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them both.

Sweet, Caring Housesitters
Wendy and Paul did a wonderful job taking care of our two cats while we were away! They were detail oriented, considerate, and very communicative. Having them here provided us with significant peace of mind during our trip. They were our first house sitting experience, and were so wonderful we cannot wait to have house sitters in the future! Fabulous sitters!
Paul and Wendy minded our pets and our home for three weeks in October/November 2019. Both dog and cat were in great shape when we got back. The dog had the time of his life, being brought out to all sorts of interesting places every day. Our home was well cared for and even the car got a cleaning! Highly recommended! They are welcome back here anytime!

Wendy came to house sit for us for 10 days. Pre arrival she kept in regular contact and updated us on her journey here. Once here she quickly became part of the household and willingly took on the tasks we asked of her and did extra things to make our return home pleasant. Whilst we were away she kept us updated with cat photos and Bilbo the cat became a firm friend! Arriving home the house was clean and tidy and everything in its place . I would recommend Wendy highly and would certainly have her housesit again for us.

Excellent pet sitter/ highly recommended
Wendy came to look after our three cats, two fish and plants and she was wonderful. She checked in with us every day, sending us cute photos of the cats. We had one of the best holidays we have ever had because we really felt like everything at home was fine. My cleaner came the day we arrived back and she had no work to do because Wendy was also spotless. We hope she'll be available next time!
