About this sitter
we are a retired nurse and teacher who love to travel. We are fit ,active ,reliable and resourceful able to do gardening and diy. non smokers.We enjoy travelling and meeting new people ,looking to house sit in europe and uk,we have spent many months cruising with our boat mainly in italy and greece since our retirement 15 years ago.we have recently sold our boat so now have more time to devote to house sitting and travel.
Why they want to house sit
looking for the opportunity to travel more . .we love cats,before retirement we always had 2 cat pets the last ones with us 14 years and we do miss a stroke and a cuddle.

we have sat for friends and family,we look after our daughters cats and house when thy go on holiday.we have completed house /pet sits in scotland looking after a large house 1cat and 11 hens. a sit in Ireland looking after 3 cats,and we looked after a large house and 2 14 year old cats in northern italy.In january last year we looked after an elderly cat in rural scotland ,the cat needed a reassuring person as she was deaf and elderly,but rewarded us with affection .our most recent sit was in porto rico carribean we cared for a family of 5 cats and 2 strays ,plus a detached home and garden.
What can they bring to the assignment
mature couple house owners we did live in dumfries and galloway ,scotland untill 2 years ago, we rented out this property to holiday makers in the summer months when we were sailing , so we understand what it is like to have people stay in your home ,we would be able to cope in an emergency should the need arise.we now live in north yorkshire in a small village with a large garden ,were we have started to grow our own vegetables.

Linda and Brian were the perfect sitters for our furry felines. They took the time to get to know each one, and learned their individual characteristics. Needless to say the cats loved them. On meeting Linda and Brian, we realized we had a lot of experiences in common, as to our boating lifestyles, and they were friendly and easy to talk to. They adapted easily to our quirky home, and quickly took to our daily procedures. We arrived back late at night to a clean house, and happy pets. Communication was perfect while we were gone, and they were able to resolve a couple of household problems easily, by WhatsApp messaging with us. We greatly appreciate the efforts they made to care for the cats (now 7 of them) and somehow keep our house tidy. We are so happy they enjoyed their stay in Puerto Rico and would not hesitate to recommend them to other home owners.

Linda and Brian gave us peace of mind during our holiday. From our initial contact through to the end of the housesit they were attentive, organised, polite and friendly. Our main concern was Zinzin our elderly cat, but it seemed she was in good hands and well cared for, we are grateful. Our home was respected and left tidy on their departure. The winter weather of below freezing temps, snow and ice made life a little tricky with access to our property, but we are pleased to hear they enjoyed the area once out and about. Thank you for us all.

Great Housesitters
Linda and Brian are a lovely couple who we strongly recommend. The were patient with our cats, looked after the house beautifully. We came back to a lovely dinner in a perfectly tidy house with most relaxed cats.

A wonderful house sitting couple
Linda and Bryan did a wonderful job of looking after our property, cat and hens while we were away on business for a week. Everything was in perfect order when we arrived home and Linda had prepared a delicious curry for us on our return. The house was shipshape. cat happy and hens obviously well looked after. Would recommend Linda and Bryan as trustworthy, capable and very pleasant house sitters.
