About this sitter
Hi, we're Kory and Abigail. As nomads, we keep our office on our laptops, running a small web agency. When we're not at work, we love to spend time outside, cook/eat delicious food, and learn new things.
Any housesitting gig is an adventure, but what's really magical is feeling easy, safe, and joyful with the people on the other side of the exchange. Living in someone's home is an incredibly personal thing, so we find it works best (and is way more fun) when we can connect on a personal level.
We want to take care of and enjoy nature, create interesting experiences, and share in the gift/wonder of life with others. We are curious, playful, friendly people who pay attention to detail, take initiative, and respect boundaries. We strive to create mutually beneficial exchanges in all contexts.
Why they want to house sit
Housesitting is a win-win for everyone – and we find it's one of the best ways to experience a new place or culture, through the lens of someone who lives there. We also love to take care of plants and animals. Their presence is a day-to-day reminder of our interconnected-ness to the world, their personalities are a joy and a lesson.

Previous to MindMyHouse, we'd sat occasionally for neighbors and friends. We've been part of the MMH community since 2017, with so many amazing experiences.
We have lived in farmhouses, regular houses, apartments, and cottages. We've gotten along with all kinds of personalities and followed all sorts of routines. We've survived fleas, hot sun, cold snow, and relentless vacuuming. We've fallen in love with unforgettable animals, beautiful views, and sets of impressive kitchenware.
Yes, we're experienced... and we'd like to keep experiencing!
What can they bring to the assignment
We are pollinators, collecting and sharing new ideas everywhere we go. We bring our hearts to every housesit, which means we leave things in better shape than when we arrived.
We have experience taking care of everything from rustic farms to luxury villas, so we're adaptable and can tend to a wide range of needs. Because of this, we know how to create clear lines of communication, ask questions, and offer an honest perspective.

A excellent experience
We joined mindmyhouse.com to find a house sitter at very short notice for a three month stay. We were pleasantly surprised to receive numerous responses but the reply from Abigail and Kory stood out from the pack on account of the thought that had evidently been put in theirs. After a couple of exchanges and a phone call, all was set and Abigail and Kory embarked on a trans Atlantic flight followed by long train journey to arrive bang on time as agreed at our local train station. We overlapped for a day and the attention they paid to the requirements of the house-sit gave us confidence that all would go well as indeed proved to be the case. Communication was excellent and we were completely relaxed being away for such a long period. Their charges ( tortoise and fish ) were well cared for and both house and garden well tended. An abundant fig crop in our absence was thoughtfully dried and conserved for us and some excellent fig jam prepared. A welcome back supper was even prepared for our arrival back home. Abigail and Kory are reliable, capable and good company. It was an excellent first experience for us and we have no hesitation in recommending them as house sitters.

Abigail and Kory were such wonderful house sitters! While we were away they took care of our animals and cabin in the woods with utmost care and attention. They took our two high-energy husky mixes out on many fun romps through the woods. They even had to deal with one of our dogs getting quilled late in the night *cringe*... they took great care of him and brought him to the vet asap, keeping us well-informed all the while. We came home to a clean and warm home and happy ducks, dogs, and kitties. It’s such a sigh of relief to know your home and animals are being loved while you’re away, and that’s exactly how we felt with Abigail and Kory holding down the fort. We were so glad we also got to spend a few days with them before they were off to a new adventure! :)

Great house-sitters
Abigail and Kory are exceptional people who took great care with our house and two dogs, Bitzi and Dewey. We returned to an orderly house that was clean with laundry done and beds made - so responsible. Additionally, they left us a small bag of homemade dog treats so we can continue the positive reinforcement for two ornery rescue dogs. Our experience is testament of their character. We encourage any home owner to seek them out when there is a need for house-sitting. Take confidence in their experience, intelligence and sense of adventure - given all that, they can probably handle just about anything. Best wishes!

Abigail and Kory were perfect house-sitters taking really good care of our tabby cat Tiggy and the house. It was our first time using the site and house-sitters in general and we were absolutely delighted with them and how they took care of our beloved cat and the property. They kept in touch the whole time an even though our cat is a bit of a wild one (can scratch) they connected with her with no problems straight away. We would definitely recommend Abigail and Kory to other pet/house owners. They are reliable, caring and do more than asked from them (even raked the leaves on the garden!). They are also a lovely company. We felt our furry baby was in good hands so we could be relaxed and enjoy our 3 week away. Thanks again and hope to see you again!

Wonderful Sitters
Abigail and Kory came to our house a few days before we went away, which we appreciated. Both Abigail and Kory were super, friendly and completely capable of any task - They cared for our quirky group of pets really well. We have a varied group of age, sizes and personalities. When we left our elderly dog wasn't feeling too well or eating at all but it didn't phase Abigail and on our return our dog was feeling so much better for the care and personal cooking of meals she received. Getting to know these lovely people was really enjoyable - we shared many days and meals together and they are a sociable, fun and intelligent couple who we felt completely comfortable with immediately. Abigail and Kory are great and I would recommend them for any sitting task- reliable, honest, caring and fun. Good Luck to them both for an exciting life. You are both welcome in our home any time as new found friends.

Top quality sitters
Abi and Kory were fabulous sitters. Great communication before they came, and during their stay. They went above and beyond what was expected, sorting out some issues with workmen and keeping us updated. They even cooked for us! The dogs loved them and greeted them so enthusiastically. They weren’t at all wasteful and the house was very well cared for and tidy. Garden and house plants all doing well. They were so easy to get along with and great company. I would love for them to come back. If you get a chance to host them, grab it! You won’t regret it. Really good people.

One amazing young couple
I can’t say enough about Abigail and Kory...they came to stay on our farm late January 2018 until early July 2018. They were awesome, took excellent care of everything. Had to deal with some issues that arose and did it with ease...they are super smart, super organized and I feel we will never find another couple like them. I have 100% confidence in recommending them for other house sitting opportunities..to me they are like family now and we hope to cross paths again with them in the future. It’s not just any couple that could spend almost 6 months living off the grid remote in the mountain, they were true to their word and stayed the agreed time. Lovely couple
Abigail and Cory have been house sitting for me in October/November 2017. They have been very good with my dogs and cats and looked very well after my house. Communication was always good. They tried to deal with any occurring problems as best as they could, always making the right decision. The house has been left very tidy. Everything was in good order and I do not hesitate to recommend them. I wish them very well in their future travels.
