Confident and very capable couple

About this sitter

Hello, we are James and Linda, both early 50's and experienced travellers and house-sitters. We have enjoyed a range of different house sits, all with excellent reviews and I have the email testimonials to forward as required. (Unfortunately, I have been unable to upload them all)

Our previous experience includes a multi million pound estate in Perugia, Italy with horses, dogs and chickens where we resided for 6 weeks and looked after 6 properties which were empty on the estate. We spent 3 weeks in remote Bulgaria looking after horses, 7 rescue dogs, cats and chickens and were without running water for 17 days with no detriment to the animals or house ( the pipes froze!) On both of these house sits we were invited back to re-sit.
We have also done 3 separate French sits, 2 of these with dogs, a Monaco sit with one dog and a mountain retreat in Switzerland. We have completed a rural house sit in Canada with 5 cats, 2 of which were on medication and required injections. We have completed several UK house sits including rural Wales with 2 rescue ponies (very timid), 2 cats (one of which was blind) and 2 peacocks, a flat sit with a new rescue cat in London, a week in the Chiltern Hills with a poorly cat and 20 chickens and a large Essex house with a dog and cat.

We are now lucky enough not to need to work and are looking for any house sits which are in remote locations, unusual properties or city centre breaks, please feel free to contact us via the site.

What can they bring to the assignment

At just over 50, we are both young and fit but bring considerable experience, maturity and capability. James was an engineer, adapt at turning his hand to almost anything and Linda was an administrator with a background in sales. We both love to walk, especially in the countryside and we are experienced travellers, having completed 7 months around the world, 5 months backpacking Asia and 9 months driving and camping in Europe where we also did 7 house sits. We are confident, capable and will treat your home and pets with the care we would do in our own home.
