Canadian couple looking to house sit anytime

About this sitter

My wife and I are in our late 50’s and will be retiring in 2023. I am a instrument mechanic and my wife is a RN. We enjoy walking, fishing and motorbiking. We spend a lot of our time renovating our properties and helping our sons renovate theirs.
The house sit can be with or without animals. We have had mostly dogs and cats.


We are looking for house sits mostly in the winter months in a warm climate.
We will be retiring in 2023 and will be available at various dates throughout the year for both short and long term sits.

Why they want to house sit

House sitting gives us the experience of going to different places that we might not normally visit. It gives us access to unique, fascinating places to go that you can’t find on hotel websites! When you are living in a local home it gives you a unique and wholesome experience about the place. Experiencing what daily life is like there and being part of the local community make the stay that much more enjoyable. Our pets have all passed on and we don’t plan on getting more at this point so we can travel and look after yours.

Their experience

We have always had pets mostly dogs and cats. Experience with horses, cows, fish and rodents are from our childhood years. My wife’s background as a nurse and animal health technician are an asset when medical problems arise.
Years of renovating and maintaining our own homes have given us lots of experience when problems arise.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are able to do most plumbing, electrical, carpentry, small mechanics, irrigation, or any basic repairs to most household items or machinery and can operate small equipment. My wife is a Registered Nurse with a back ground as a animal health technician. We are reliable and trustworthy.
