About this sitter
I am a 64 year old woman, living in a flat at Bern, Switzerland.
I am definitively an animal and nature lover. I live with two housecats which I love deeply and I care for my vegetable/flowergarden nearby.
I am not a cardriver but an enthousiastic biker. For longer distances I travel by public transport.
I work as a nurse and thats why I can housesit only during my holidays.
Why they want to house sit
I am interested in seeing other countries, other landscapes, other houses and get to know other people. I like being around animals, that's why I prefer houses, where I can take care of animals.
Their experience
I have done 5 shorttime house-/dogsits in 2019/2020/2022/2023 in England, Italy and Germany and France.I enjoyed these stays a lot. It was a big pleasure to look after those houses and dogs and cats and to get to know new people and countrysides and towns.

I am a responsible, reliable and clean person. I am sociable to people and animals.
My mother tongue is german and I am able to speak simple english and french and a very little bit italian.

Perfect first experience
We had Barbara as a house- and petsitter in October for 10 days. This was our first experience with Mind my house AND with a ‘strange’ housesitter. And what a perfect experience it was! From the first contact with Barbara there was a click and mutual trust. Since it was our first experience, I asked a lot for feedback and how to proceed in the process. It all went really well and smooth. Barbara took her ‘job’ very serious and took notes while we were going through all the daily tasks concerning the cats and the house. During our travel we had daily contact. Sometimes with little questions, but mostly with an update about our cats and her day in the French countryside. I thought it was very brave of Barbara to stay in a remote area with her bike as her only transport. But I knew it was possible, since our little hidden valley is not far from the shops and nearby villages. And in case of emergency I had a friend with a car stand-by. When we returned, everything and everybody looked perfect and fine. The house was tidy and the cats looked well taken care off. I can highly recommend Barbara as a house- and petsitter. She is kind, trustworthy and able to take care of the cats and difficult situations. She is very self-sufficient, which is very handy in most situations as a housesitter. So thank you very much, Barbara, for making our first experience with a ‘strange’ house- and petsitter such a perfect one! We hope to see you again in the future.

I had fantastic holydays...
...thanks to Barbara! My cat got seriously ill with cancer last year and we had a very bad time in autumn and winter. I needed a few days to relax and luckily I found Barbara who did an excellent job of taking care of "Kater". She immediately found a good relationship with him and managed reliably to administer all of his medications. And that's really not easy with "Kater", because he eats badly and certainly not on medication. She was very reliable in everything and also took care of the house and garden, so I found it better than before I left. Barbara is self-reliant and able to find solutions to problems, so she managed just fine without help. She is also very likeable and you can have very good conversations with her. Thanks for everything Barbara. You get my absolute recommendation as a house sitter!

Friendly, responsible and organized!
Barbara was our pet and house sitter for six days and we had an amazing experience with her. She is friendly and polite, communication was excellent, and the house was very tidy when we got back. Our little dog was happy and enjoyed the lovely walks provided. We received updates and photos while we were travelling and were pleased with everything. Do not hesitate choosing Barbara, she is great!

Reliable and friendly super Swiss Lady Barbara.
Barbara was totally reliable and trustfull during her sitting, she spent some of her time toghether with our whole family, she has been an extremely polite and friendly person, sportly, ready to help and nice to talk to. During our four days trip, she took perfectly care of our 3 pets, offering long walks and ball plays to our dog, our shy cat loved her and the fish was fine as well. She kept us up-to-dated on "house+pet status" every evening by sms, so we were totally relaxed. Last evening before departure she cooked a delicious Swiss dinner for us, thanks Barbara!
