About this sitter
I am a retired attorney with adult sons, no grand children. I have a "way" with animals, having spent much of my early life working in a variety of animal related industries. I moved to Montana, sight unseen, to live and raise a family. Most of the animals pictured are rescues/ferals. Bones are getting a bit old for feral horses, so travel adventures and taking care of other's pets.....awesome!
Why they want to house sit
WHY: House-sitting allows me to combine my love of travel, animals, and adventure. YEA! I am old school in that I treat others, and there four legged family as I would my own. I like seeing new places, meeting people, and learning about other cultures. I have recent and not so recent experience as a sitter. The last few years I have had the sitters and I know what makes for a good sitter and what makes for a less than ideal situation.
WHY I AM A GOOD CHOICE: My work ethic, experience with animals, and flexibility are an asset. My knowledge and abilities with a variety of animals is deep, genuine, and is a gift. I will occasionally have an adult family member join me if the potential sit permits/desired a couple or a second person. This will allow me to spend extra time if one of the fur family is elderly or missing their owner. I am a former prosecutor. Our family as a unit are respectful, law abiding, and honest.........travel adventurers!
Their experience
Yes. Since retiring, I have been "sitting" and caring for other's houses and pets a few times a year. I am very selective in the sits I accept, adding one or two new families each year. Focusing on Europe where I can visit family and friends before /after a sit. I took a break from sitting to help a friend whose husband was having a stem cell transplant at MAYO. They are now healthy.
I now live in France, a magical lovely country. My work ethic, and experience with animals, and flexibility are an asset for a wide range of situations. I have the standard police check along with my Global Entry "trusted traveler" card issued by the U.S. State Department which involves a detailed background check, fingerprints, and interview. I also provide my own transportation.
What can they bring to the assignment
Gratitude at being entrusted with another's four-legged family and the responsibility and diligence to detail that they deserve. Flexible and able to adapt and overcome dilemmas. Additionally, I do not smoke and only have the occasional glass of alcohol. Best of all, you will come home to a clean house, happy animals, and a home cooked meal that let's us catch up and review how it went. Willing to provide as many updates as YOU need to know the four legged family is happy and healthy!

Last July, Stacy kept our house clean and fed our animals for 2 weeks. Getting her over from America (in full Corona) wasn't easy but she made it work (having to talk to the embassy, official authorities). What a treat it was when we returned. Stacy is a very neat, smart and caring person. She has experience with all kinds of animals. We have dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens and a horse. They all felt comfortable with Stacy. During our vacation she regularly sent us photos and emails. Nothing is too much for her. We are very happy that we got to know her. To be honest, we really don't want to share her with the world. Otherwise we can no longer book her.

Stacy
Stacy arrived a few days before we left for a short break, so we got to know her pretty well. She is good company, fun and is clearly passionate about animals, the cats took to her immediately. She takes her house sitting very seriously and did a very thorough job whilst we were away. She is reliable, trustworthy and honest, and is happy to provide as much or as little information as required during your absence. The house was left clean and tidy for our return which is always appreciated. Communication with Stacy before and during the house sit was always prompt and informative. We have no hesitation in recommending Stacy as a house sitter. We wish her well with her house hunting and hope to see her again soon.

Friendly and very reliable
We were very pleased to have Stacy and her husband Brian as our house sitters while we went to the Netherlands for some family business. They originally were going to come for three nights but were kind enough to stay a couple of extra nights for us. The communication was excellent, and Stacy listened patiently to my family stories! She was always happy to call me before the housesit. They gave our cats and chickens lots of love and attention and kept everything tidy for us in our absence. They are very reliable, fun and intelligent to talk to and very kind. I would highly recommend them and would love to host them again.

The best pet/house sitters!!!
I was so blessed to have Stacy and Brian come and stay at my home while I traveled. They took excellent care of my animals. Lily my cat loved them. Usually the only way the sitters know she is there is because the food is gone. She hides from them all. This time Stacy made the effort right from the start to bond with her and Lily loved her. She came in every night and lounged around with the rest of the crew. They even bought my doggie Nalu and toy to play with!! He loves it. They truly cared about the pets and took great care of the house. They even were great when there was a plumbing issue. Even though they spent many hours dealing with it they were awesome about it. I would highly recommend them for your house sitting needs.
