About this sitter
We, Loes and Ben, are an experienced couple for housesitting. We have several adresses in Holland and in Spain and Portugal, where we are frequently asked to come again. We have had a dog ourselves, but after he died and we didn't work any more we started housesitting autumn 2014. We love cats and dogs, but also can manage to care for poultry, fish, or small cattle, but no horses. We are watersport-people and in the summer we often sail with our motorboat, but also love to do housesitting.
Why they want to house sit
It's lovely to be in other surroundings than your own and enjoy the pleasure of staying in someone's place rather than be in a Holidaypark. Be with the locals, we say.We love to take care of the house and garden and pets.
Their experience
Yes, we are. We were a member of HolidayLink in Holland from 2014 to 2018 and we have several adresses where we are frequently asked to come again. We also did housesit in Spain in the Winter in Denia (Costa Blanca) and in Almancil (Algarve) in Portugal.

Warm, kind and pragmatic
Loes and Ben stayed at Mas Linda for almost 2 weeks. They are very kind and warm people, and I felt comfortable with them from the moment they arrived. They really took care of our property and the cats, as if it was their own. We forgot to warn them for the strong wind (Tramuntana) that can happen in the area sometimes, but they secured loose stuff around the house and everything stayed in their place. The cats were really happy with their new 'employees' and even our Isabella is still looking for them after a couple of weeks. She has gotten really fond of them, I noticed. So thank you Loes and Ben, you are highly recommended for any housesit.

You won't regret accepting this couple
We were away for just under 3 weeks. We came back to happy dogs, all in good order, no issues at all. They are pro-active problem solvers. Plus an evening meal and sociable evening to return to.

Dream cat sitters
Loes & Ben stayed at our house for 10 days around Christmas, they took care of our 2 cats. They were extremely flexible when our travel plans changed last minute due to covid, the conversation was easy, we received daily updates. They left the house spotless and even left a few gifts for us. Upon our return, our cats seem very relaxed and happy. Judging by the cuddle pictures we received, Tomi & Rosie seem to have adapted really well. We highly recommen Loes & Ben. Trustworthy

Rest Assured with Loes and Ben
An outgoing, easy relationship happened from opening the front door. We were not away for so long but we felt confident leaving our home and dogs with them. So much so, that when we returned, our dogs still preferred to bed down for the night in their room! That says a lot in itself. Many thanks to both of you.

Xmas sitters back by popular demand
Loes & Ben have sat for us for the last three Christmas Holidays and have become our Dutch Xmas Amigos - Last Christmas they looked after our two dogs, Poppy (small and very lively - rescued and in place of Bonnie) and Patch (much larger and not as lively) and two cats (Minky & Roco) who think they are dogs - they all know each other well by now and have lots of walkies and cuddles. They keep us informed at all times by text, e-mail and phone of the animals' well-being. Our home is always well looked after and is clean and tidy when we return. They always arrived a day or so early for us to go out for a pre-Christmas meal and we normally go and have another meal when we return. They are enthusiastic and friendly and luckily they are coming back again for this coming Xmas. The tree and decorations are waiting for them!
