About this sitter
My husband and I are very active and healthy, non-smoking adults in our 50's. We have always been dog owners of both large and small. We have cared for neighbors pets as well including chickens, and cats. We love our dogs and treat them as well as we have our own children! We are very respectful of property and life, having hired same for our own home and pets, and expect similar. We would hope to be able to house/pet sit with our own clean, wonderfully sweet as can be black/tan coonhound, but only if possible, otherwise we can arrange for him to stay behind.
Why they want to house sit
We have always wanted to live in France and while doing so is not plausible, we were able to house sit using this site Summer 2018, caring for a lovely cat and home for over 2 weeks in Bergerac. We made minor repairs to the owner's home with permission when we saw something not working, his cat was sick when we arrived, so we took him to the vet and gave eye medication 5 times a day until he was healed 2 weeks later before we left. Our 2nd long sit was Summer 2019 for 10 days in Washington DC for 2 beautiful medium size dogs. Again, having to care for one who was ill for part of our time together. Both opportunities have been such enjoyable experiences that we are eager to provide attention to more pets and homes in the future.
Their experience
I would say we are very experienced! Personally, we have cared for a total of 7 dogs over the years from their beginning to their sad departures. We have adopted one and nursed back to health. We keep our dogs clean, bathing, brushing teeth, feeding, walking, running, sleeping beside us, playing, and more! If we are not dog sitting, we have maintained our own homes, having been home owners of 5 previous homes to our current one. We have renovated our own homes as well. My husband is mostly handy with repairs when necessary and has a green thumb.

Great American cat sitter couple
Gina and her husband Darell are so good at taking care of pets and are also so nice people. They really took care of of my cat. When they were at my home, my cat was sick. Everydays, several times a day, they gave him medicine. They also carried it to the veterinary when he needed. We now continuing our contact as friends and they are welcome back home.

Gina is so thoughtful!
Gina and her husband watched my girls for a week. They took such great care of my place, leaving it spotless. They also were good to my girls. One of them got stomach upset shortly after I left: Gina handled it so graciously. I felt absolutely comfortable with Gina and her husband, and I highly recommend them as house and animal sitters.
