About this sitter
My wife and I love animals and are down-to-earth people. We are responsible, clean and friendly older adults, that will care for your place and your pets as if they are our own. Our favorite activities are museums, concerts and theater productions, as well as visiting gardens, architectural and historic sites. We would be happy to combine our travels with caring for your home and pets, allowing us a place to relax and enjoy as well as a base for exploring the area on part-day trips. I was a dealer of collectibles and my wife worked for the Post Office. We don't party or smoke.

House sitting for you will allow us to indulge our love for animals along with exploring the cultural activities and historic sites of new places.
Their experience
We have had our own dogs, cats and other animals over the years, although now we don't have any in our home. We chose not to get another after our last one passed, so that we would be free to travel without having to put our family pet into boarding or another stressful situation. We do care for our neighbors' two elderly cats whenever they travel, and friends that leave their dog with us when they need a sitter. We have done many pet sit assignments over the past several years, and received great reviews.
What can they bring to the assignment
We are able to judge whether an unexpected situation is something we can manage ourselves or requires outside help - we never want to put the well-being of your pets in jeopardy. We would love to be able to call your home our "home away from home", giving us an opportunity for new friends (you and your animals) along with travel adventures.

What a Great House Sitting Couple!
First, I must start this testimonial by saying WOW!!! Martin and Vivian were absolutely amazing. They were organized and detail oriented, making sure to keep me updated on how the sitting was going, asking questions whenever they needed a little guidance, and sending a lovely photo of Charmander our cat each day. They were diligent in following my notes and went above and beyond my expectations. I left feeling they would care for my house and cat Charmander as if they were their own and I was not disappointed. Fellow bird lovers, they were able to give me some tips on better bird feed management. I would ask them back in a heartbeat. What a great team! They are sincerely sweet and down to earth folks. I believe they will be in high demand as house sitters, they are that good!

Repeat Housesitters - What does that tell you?!?
Yes I've already written a testimonial for Martin & Vivian. Yes, they returned for a second housesit and no they didn't ask for another testimonial but they deserve another one so here goes! So what does that tell you that we requested a second housesit from them!?! What it tells you is that we appreciated them so much that when we needed someone to hold down the fort, we reached out to Martin & Vivian! Lucky for us, they obliged. After this second time I can wholeheartedly say that I would not hesitate to have them back a third, fourth, fifth time...infinity number of times actually!! I wonder if they'd ditch their home and come stay in our cottage indefinitely??? Maybe if their home wasn't surrounded by their friends and wasn't so close to the beach they'd maybe possibly perhaps consider it. Such a sweet couple and such wonderful care they gave to our menagerie of animals. They kept our place tidy and sent pics of our animals to us regularly. I can't say enough about the peace of mind it gives us to know we can go away for days or even weeks at a time without worrying about our beloved animals and our home and property. Truly Outstanding House Sitter
Where do I begin?!? Martin & Vivian knocked it wayyyyyyy out of the park. They have set the bar real high as far as expectations go; I just don't see how anyone can measure up to their level of care and attention to detail. If I could have them as our house sitter every single time we leave home, I would! No kidding! I'm afraid they want to explore areas other than our little community though, doggonit. I set things up so that all the animals could be self-sufficient during our time away except for our 2 large dogs. Well, Martin & Vivian took the bull by the horns and fed the goats, duck, and other animals, changed out the duck's water (if you're familiar with ducks you know how fast their water gets nasty), and brushed our dogs & cat daily. None of that was expected of them, but they took the initiative and did it anyway. How about that for giving it 110%?!? On top of that, they sent regular updates and lots of pictures of the animals while they were in their care. It was such a relief to know our beloved animals were in good hands. You simply can't fake the animal lover spirit they possess. Martin & Vivian are neat & clean, responsible, caring, friendly, outgoing, honest, ethical, punctual and a sheer joy to be around. Again, I would not hesitate to have them house sit for me again, and I strongly recommend them to house sit for you!
