About this sitter
I am female, retired (70's), reliable and fairly active, looking for a place to look after cat(s) and plants anywhere in Europe. I don't drive so a city or large town with good transport links would possibly be best. I am a non smoker, don't take drugs and am too old now for partying.
Why they want to house sit
I love to visit new places and meet new people. House sitting is a way of doing that and living amongst the local community. As I am not working now, longer house sits are not a problem.
Their experience
I have looked after cats in Berlin for a month whilst the owner was in the United States; the Netherlands for a few weeks looking after another 2 cats; West Wales caring for an elderly cat and have previously stayed with a friend's older dog a couple of times. I have a cat of my own too (which would be well looked after whilst I am away). I have been a long time host for women travellers through another website and there are references that can be looked at there as I only have one testimonial on this site.
What can they bring to the assignment
I am trustworthy, reliable, conscientious and love cats. Your lovely animals would not be left alone overnight as I only go out for day trips. I have a Maine Coon which is long haired so I am used to grooming them and giving them attention when they want it. I also have a small garden with fishpond so can look after plants and possibly fish. I am tidy and would keep your home clean. I have a current police check for my voluntary work.

Peace of mind
When Anne came to look after my house abc cat Missy it gave me peace of mind so I could relax for two weeks plus on my holiday in Portugal. She was very reassuring and came across as a reliable and trustworthy person well able to cope with any difficulties my crabby old cat might present. She took good care of her and kept me posted periodically so I knew all was well at home. It was lovely that Anne was able to join my regular quiz group in my abscence and even better that she helped them to win. Thank you so much Anne for taking such good care of my home and my cat. Kind, calm and trustworthy
Anne looked after my home and two cats when I was away for two weeks in October. We met briefly before I left and I instantly felt confident my home and cats would be safe and happy with her. Anne is very kind, calm and well traveled. Communication was good, we Skyped before the sit and she sent a few updates while I was away. Anne was home quite a bit during her stay, so my cats had lots of company and attention. I came home to a clean and tidy house and two very happy cats.
