About this sitter

Hello, We are Dean, Julie and Abby (age 14). We have been house caring and pet sitting as a couple, then a family for over (15) years now. We prefer longer-term assignments, but will also consider house sits for short term if we are in your area.

We have extensive experience caring for homes, are well-traveled in Colorado, the Western United States, Washington, Alaska and Ohio, and take immaculate care of properties. We offer experience with dogs/cats, house keeping and property maintenance. We have house-sat in Alaska, Ohio, California, Washington, New Mexico, Nevada and Colorado, and we are often asked to return on a different assignment to the same home. We love building relationships with home owners, and their pets. If you don't have pets, we take pride in caring for your home while you are away.

We are smoke-free/pet-free and find house-sitting affords us opportunity to take breaks and travel now and then. We are very low-impact. You would be hard-pressed to find better hands to leave your home and/or loved ones (pets) in.

I am an Event Specialist in the Film/Sports Industry, as well as a licensed electrician and a Certified Pool/Spa operator. My wife is an amazing Family Photographer and also has extensive experience in the hospitality industry and professional house keeping in prior years for Lodges, Bed & Breakfasts and private homes. Our daughter boasts ten years of professional pet caring (assisting in walking and feeding) during our assignments. She has a very loving heart and interest in becoming a veterinarian or nurse one day! We are proud to give her a great real life education through travel, interaction with wonderful people and pets in addition to her home school studies.

As a family we love to shop local farmers markets, explore Main Street USA, downtowns and local book stores. We love history, hiking, as well as doing some beach-combing.

We have excellent references and are open to anywhere in the United States, if the term is long enough.

Yes, we have been house sitting for actually over (20) years. Julie house sat in Alaska and also ran a bed & breakfast in a remote part of Alaska while single. As a married couple, we house sat in Alaska. We started house sitting and caring for animals again when our daughter turned (4) in 2013. Our home state and base-camp is Colorado.

We are proud to give her a great real life education through travel, interaction with wonderful people and pets in addition to her home school studies.

We have lived in the Summer of Las Vegas heat and thrived in Alaskan and Colorado Winters above 9,000'. Whatever the season, we are well-adapted and bring decades of experiences in all climates.
