About this sitter
We are a couple from Sonoma, California, USA in our mid-fifties with an empty nest looking for our next life adventures. We have been happily married for 30 years and have raised three children and a variety of pets over the years.
Tim has owned his own software development company for over 25 years. This independence allows him to work from anywhere. Julie has worked various jobs and volunteer opportunities fitting around family life - involving children, teaching and animals. She is currently the bookkeeper for both the family business and other local businesses.
We are physically fit with no health problems, are non-smokers and have clean driver's licenses. We love the outdoors, backpacking, hiking, camping and walking to explore new places. We enjoy traveling and feeling part of a community.
Why they want to house sit
Pets have always been an important part of our lives. Now that most of our pets are gone, we'd like to "borrow" yours. You can be assured we will take great care of them as they are our own, freeing you to explore the world.
We have traveled throughout the U.S. and internationally and are looking for more! Our goal is to spend extended time periods in locations experiencing and connecting with the local town and culture.

Third time :)
What more can I say about Julie and Tim. This was the third time that we have had the pleasure of having these two wonderful people caring for our home and pets. Our biggest concern is always that our dogs are happy and well cared for. Our dogs absolutely LOVE Julie and Tim! To the point that they pout after they leave! Even our chickens look plump and content! And our home is so clean after they leave that I just want to plan a trip every month so that my house stays so spic and span. I might have mentioned this before, but we consider them family, not housesitters. If you are searching for someone to take care of your home and pets, STOP SCROLLING, and reach out to Julie and Tim. Julie and Tim were more like a 10 star
Julie and Tim were more like a 10 star! We had some time to get to know them over a video chat before the stay, and then even more time the day before we left. Amazing couple!!! Our pups took to them instantly and Julie and Tim jumped in immediatley as if they'd known our dogs from before. Very easy transition :) Their organization and communication before and during the sit was excellent, and while we were away they shared pictures and little notes on all the fun they had everyday. I can be an anxious dog mom and these two made me feel at ease immediatley with all the joy they brought to our pups while we were gone. Our home was perfectly clean and well cared for just as the pups were. To be honest, my pups may have been looking for their new friends this morning upon waking and will miss them I'm certain! You should most definately consider these two if you're looking for a sitter on your next trip, you will be just as pleased I'm sure! Thank you Julie and Tim :) Please come back again!

Magnificent
We've had multiple 5 star sitters but none as magnificent as Julie and Tim! They have sat for us multiple times and it's more like family coming to visit! The dogs absolutely adore them, (Brodie even pouted a full day because he missed them!) The chickens were happy and their coop was immaculate. And then don't even get me started on how clean the house was! We should consider planning trips strategically throughout the year just so we can have our place deep cleaned! But seriously, they are the most loving and caring couple on the planet! Thank you guys!

Julie and Tim are outstanding sitters
Julie and Tim are outstanding sitters and delightful human beings :-) They are kind, caring, and eminently capable of handling any situation that might arise. This was the second time they have house sit for us and they are repeated sitters for neighbors as well. We have complete confidence in their care of our two livestock guardian dogs, one cat, and off-grid home. We so enjoy spending time in their company and hope we are lucky enough to have them come sit for us again in the future.

There are really not enough stars to rate Julie and Tim
There are really not enough stars to rate Julie and Tim. Let's start by saying that our dogs absolutely loved them, and actually mourned after they left! They took them on multiple hikes daily, loved on them, coddled them, snuggled in bed with them and updated us often with photos of their antics. And then there was their impeccable care for our chickens. I am a bit of a chicken freak, feed them all kinds of veggies and treats and treat them like pets, not farm animals. Their coop was immaculate and the chickens clucked to me that they were wonderful. Our gardens flourished under Julie and Tim's watchful eye, even during a severe heat wave. I totally expected to return to dried up stalks. Nope! They were lush and everything is fruiting. But the best part about Julie and Tim is how loving, friendly and sincere they are. We were able to take our trip abroad and not fret about our pets, which is always our first concern, but they treated our house gently, were conscientious about the off-grid living style and didn't abuse water or electric. They left our home immaculate. I really can't say enough wonderful things about them! We consider them friends, not house sitters and we can only hope that they are available if we need them again.

It’s a huge thank you from us
As first timers using sitters we were a little apprehensive. Julie and Tim were absolute stars and put us at ease straight away. Their confidence and experience played a huge role in allowing us to feel relaxed and happy to enjoy our time away, knowing Marley and our home were well cared for. I would definitely recommend them to others and would have no hesitation in welcoming them back to our home. Julie & Tim were awesome in so many ways
Julie & Tim were awesome in so many ways! They went above and beyond to make sure our pups and our home received the best care and left my home much, much cleaner than I left it. They handled several package delivers, including 2 huge over-sized boxes. Their flexibility and generosity made our trip stress-free. They were dependable, gracious, kind, easy-going, understanding, funny and handled everything without a hitch and even sent lots of photos of the dogs. Highly recommend them for dogsitting!

Julie and Tim are the most incredible people!! I just can't rave about them enough. They are very much family now and are welcome in our home as a sitter or just as family any time. Julie and Tim went above and beyond anything that could have been asked for. they are so kind and loving to me and to Zeus. He misses them so much. Julie & Tim were excellent sitters
Julie & Tim were excellent sitters for our dogs as well as our home. They communicated very well. Our dogs were well taken care and loved by both Julie & Tim. Our home was spotless and everything was very clean upon our return home. If you ever need a sitter we would highly recommend them to anyone. Absolutely fabulous
Julie and Tim were absolutely fabulous! Most review begin this way, but Julie and Tim really stand out. The care of our critters was excellent, although ours can be a handful. They clearly bonded with all of them. The house was immaculate when we returned. Moreover, their commitment to us was demonstrated when they had a serious family emergency that unfolded immediately before the sit started. Many might have cancelled the sit, but Tim came and Julie managed the situation at home before joining Tim a few days later. Finally, on top of all this, they are an engaging, fun, relaxed, and fully-competent couple. We have become good friends, and we will be seeing each other in the future.

AWESOME
AWESOME!!! Fabulous and now part of the family. Julie and Tim took such fabulous care of my gentle giant Zeus. I honestly think he's still looking for them and misses them a lot. I couldn't have asked for anyone kinder, more thoughtful and just all-round awesome to have in my home and with my "baby". We really can't wait for them to come back, hopefully sooner rather than later. And I received many updates, funny just as I was thinking of saying Hi to them, here came an update complete with photos of my Zeus. After just a couple days of being gone, I honestly never worried or even thought of home. Just enjoyed my trip. And my home was perfect when I returned. We were so sorry to see them leave. Would totally ask for them to return
Having Tim and Julie take care of our Buddy boy was a very comforting experience. They were constant about sending us notes, pictures, and messages on how he was doing while we were gone. It made us feel he was safe and well-taken care of, knowing his usual needs (plus more😊) were being met. The house was clean and tidy upon our return and overall we were very satisfied with them. Would totally ask for them to return to house/pet sitting us again in the future.

Julie and Tim are the best
Julie and Tim are the best! To be totally honest here: we pleaded with Tim and Julie to come back and watch our parrot again and they did! Parrots are tricky and Tim and Julie are great with her. We came back to a well taken care of parrot AND a spotless house. Tim and Julie are great communicators. They stayed in touch with us and let us know how things were going. Cannot recommend them enough
Julie and Tim are the absolute best! If I could leave higher than 5 stars, I would! Highest recommendation! We have been using Julie and Tim for years now and lately for a month at a time. We are able to enjoy our vacations with no worries about our dog, our gardens, and our home. What a great gift! Our dog and our town love Julie and Tim as well. We live in a small town and most of our townsfolk know our dog and now know Julie and Tim as a result. So many of them said how much they enjoyed meeting Tim and Julie. This speaks so highly of their character. On this particular trip, there was concern about evacuations for fire and they communicated so well and were ready with a plan. Again, it just speaks to what consummate professionals they are. Again, we cannot recommend them enough!

Simply the best
Simply the best. We were lucky enough to meet Julie and Tim before trusting them with our two dogs and were totally bowled over from the start. They immediately started to interact with the dogs and won them both over in no time at all. They asked interesting questions about the dogs and their routines and were extra thoughtful, making sure neither one felt left out. We got regular updates about the dogs, while we were away and if they were unsure about something, Julie simply asked the question. Upon our return, the house was spotless and the dogs looked like they had been taken very good care of. Julie and Tim are very friendly, and our dogs just loved them.

We cannot thank Julie and Tim enough
We cannot thank Julie and Tim enough for the outstanding 3 month house sit they recently completed for us. They were practical, excellent communicators, kind and very thoughtful. Faced with a particularly difficult situation when one of our dogs became seriously ill, they coped extremely well - making us feel confident, despite being thousands of kms away. Julie looked after our donkeys extremely well - with praise from our farrier on the standard of hoof care - and our home and car were simply spotless when we got back. We (and our animals) would have them back in a heartbeat and we all wish them every happiness and success in their house sitting careers. We have had a number of house sitters in the past - including some very good ones - Julie and Tim were easily the best. So if Julie and Tim ever offer to sit for you, accept immediately - they are outstanding and you will not find anyone better. Wonderful job, both - thank you so much!
