About this sitter
We are a french fit and active couple, around 65 years old.
I was a Country Head of HR in the industry, and my wife run his flower shop, before becoming a nurse. We had always pets in our house; they are joyfull life companions. We enjoyed several travels around the world, and we had very nice pet sitting experiences in Australia, Brasil, Canada, Thaïland, USA, Vietnam and Portugal.We're looking for beeing happy with pets in a nice and interesting location, and making cordial relationship with people. We like hiking, nature, beaches, and we're speaking english, german, … et bien sûr, français.
Why they want to house sit
We want to housesit because it's an appreciable experience for discovering the "real life" in a country.
We like pets and meeting people, and simply reside in a place to experience its atmosphere.
We want to make pets happy; we had ourselves always dogs and cats at home.
Their experience
We had very positive experiences : in Vancouver, with a dog (Farley), and a cat (Meekus). We have been fully autonomus.
The contact with the owners, Lisa and Randy, was very nice, and they made a very good review of our stay.
We had another great experience at Niteroi/Rio de Janeiro State in. 5 lovely dogs, living mainly outdoor; please see the 5 stars review.
We went also in Australia, with a sweet Labrador, and a cat. Here also, we received a so friendly review from Simon & Mel.
Our last petsits were in Vietnam, Florida, Thailand, and Portugal. The reviews were once again really positive, and we keep all these four legged sweat hearts in mind.
We runned in the past a B&B in our villa in France/Alsace, so we have also a lot of reviews on this side, showing who we are, and how is our household; we're pleased to send you more informations.

We can bring confidence, as we are reliable, and care the house and the pets like ours, looking after their needs and giving them affection. Wow! What a great couple!!!
I was headed out for a little over 2 months, half way around the world in New Zealand and as always was starting to feel like I didn't want to leave my 4-legged roommates. Sylvain and Marcelle arrived a couple days before I left to allow for unforeseen travel hiccups and so they could get the lay of the land. By the time we all gathered for coffee in the morning, I could see that things would be fine. Everyone settled into a rhythm very quickly. The animals took to them right away and I could see that they were going to be fine. Sylvain asked all the right questions to make sure they were prepared to handle almost anything. And so, I was off. Their first test was finding that a woodpecker had pecked a hole in the side of my house and had taken up residence there. Sylvain talked to my local handyman and together they just figured out what to do. Did not need me at all. First hurdle cleared! They had to take my "chemo-kitty" Gumby for 2 vet checkups at an office over an hour away. No problem. 2 more hurdles cleared! Pictures from home greated me often as I woke in New Zealand, with "the Team" looking great. Marcelle and Sylvain got to know lots of the neighbors on the morning and evening walks, and many pictures showed my dog Arrow happily walking down the beach as the sun rose. When I finally returned (they graciously dropped me off and picked me up at an airport 2 hours from home!) the place looked better than when I left and the kids, although definitely happy to see me, had obviously accepted Sylvain and Marcelle into their pack!! Marcelle set a high bar - my plants never looked that good. Now I struggle to keep them that way! The few expenses they had while I was gone were thoroughly accounted for. We had a day together after I was back and then we had to say goodbye. I can't say enough about the care and attention they showed my 4-leggeds - and me! They are the best of the best.🎖️. While Sylvain and Marcelle entered this house as pet sitters, they left as family. ❤️❤️❤️ Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that a number of the little chores and repairs I had been putting off forever were miraculously taken care of. Sweet!! (Now the neighbors stop me when I am walking Arrow to ask after them - and if they are ever coming back!!) A stress free vacation for me, and I think a good stay for them too.

Wonderful Experience! Very highly recommended!
I am writing this review for one of the best pet sitters we have had, Sylvain. Sylvain came to us in Southern Portugal from France, his wife could not make the trip. When we talk to him on WhatsApp, I immediately felt his warmth, love for animals, and his gentle demeanor. He has a wonderful sense of humor as well. While talking on the phone we asked Sylvain if he would mind having an inspector come through with our realtor as we sold our home, we would let him know a day ahead of time. He immediately without reservation said no problem at all. I send all my sitters two documents ahead of time that describe our home and our cat. This way our sitters are always prepared and have something to refer to during the sit. Sylvain was grateful and made additional notes. Sylvain arrived the day before we were leaving. I like to spend a day with our sitter so they feel completely comfortable. Our cat, Karellen the Overlord, who we call Boo most of the time is an easy sit, he really not a people person, but our sitters have had him warm up. After 2 days Sylvain had become his friend. Sylvain’s gentle approach had him come out of his shell and acting his usual goofy self. Sylvain sent many photos and video to show us he was doing well and acting his normal self. Before I left, I felt our cat might be ill, I knew Sylvain would keep a good watch and take him to the vet if needed, however, our little buddy came back to normal, Sylvain kept in close touch. Never once did I have any worries, I was able to do what we needed to do knowing our boy was in great hands. When we got home, our home was just as neat and clean as when we left in fact more so. This was wonderful since we were tired and all we had to do was our laundry. Sylvain surprised us by taking us out to a very nice dinner the night we got home, this was wonderful as we were tired. We highly, with great enthusiasm recommend Sylvain as a fantastic, gentle, attentive, clean person. He loves animals, he’s very attentive and has a wonderful sense of humor. You will never have to be concerned; he will make sure your fur babies are more than well cared for.

Look no further for your perfect dog/pet sitters
Sylvain and Marcelle were the most excellent dog sitters you could ever ask for. I didn't worry for one minute about my dog Honey as they kept me updated with hilarious videos and pics of her having an awesome holiday with them and she was actually depressed for days when they left. They were so responsible in looking after our house and car and keeping them in perfect order. You couldn't ask for a better couple to look after your pets as they are a fun loving couple who enjoy a good adventure and your pets will love their company. We enjoyed their company and stories at the beginning and end of our trip. They are welcome back at our house any time.

We thoroughly recommend Sylvain and Marcelle as house and dog sitters. They are a very pleasant couple, very reliable, tidy and conscientious. From the outset, we were confident that our home and our dogs would be well looked after. They are independent enough to get on with things, to resolve any problems arising, to get out and about, and for surviving in a new and very different location. They are both charming people, very good company, very “simpatico”, and are very competent in English. And it’s clear that they love dogs. They kept us in touch as to the dogs’ wellbeing and any issues arising. We would have them back in an instant – we spent some happy times together at the start and end of their stay.
