About this sitter
Single female, currently taking care of a home in Florida. I'm also an AirBnB host. I grew up with dogs & cats, and have been fairly good at dog training, too.
Why they want to house sit
My job permits me to work from anywhere in the world, as long as I have decent wifi access. I'd love to get to know other parts of the world from the perspective of its local citizens - including humans, canines & felines :)
Their experience
I am currently house-sitting in Florida, and have had house & pet-sitting jobs in Atlanta and abroad. I am also an AirBnB host, so attending to human guests has become a familiar routine.
What can they bring to the assignment
A quiet, respectful woman who will take care of your pets warmly and your home gently. You will return from your journey to your home never knowing I was there. I sometimes travel with a friend, who also speaks French and is quite handy with household projects.

Marian was the best sitter ever. I truly felt at peace knowing my home and pups were well taken care. Marian was communicative, friendly and left my house spotless. She would send daily pictures which was always a special treat. My flight landed late so I had Marian coordinate with a dog walker to exchange keys. Even the dog walker commented how sweet Marian was. You will not go wrong choosing Marian to watch your home and fur babies.

Mari-an Poppins - the only dog nanny you'll ever need
I've only ever had positive experiences appointing dog/house sitters through this site, but Marian is in a league of her own. I originally gave her custody of my beloved cookie and my Maine beach house for 3 weeks in mid summer, but it was such a success i asked her back for two further weeks at end of summer, and have asked her to come back again for 3 weeks in fall! I knew the moment I met Marian that Cookie and my house were in great hands. We were in daily contact with updates on Cookie's antics and she created a drop box with beach pictures of cookie. She really does put your mind at ease whilst you are away, as you know that your furry pal is in the best of hands. She is also an experienced airbnb host from her lake house in Florida - this was incredibly ideal for myself as I airbnb a part of my property and she was able to keep an eye on things whilst I was away. She greeted guests, helped them with basic requests and also went above and beyond to help with management issues whenever needed - for example when the cleaner wrote to tell me the guest suite was smelling strange, she spent hours investigating the stench and airing the place out. She also makes the cutest 'towel art' (ocean themed shapes for my place in Maine), which is such a nice touch. Each time I have returned home the place has been spotless and she has left detailed check out notes on general house operations. I cannot speak highly enough of her - she will be back again in a couple of weeks when I am travelling again and she will be the first person I call next summer to cookie/house sit. If she applies for your listing, you'd better offer her the position as you won't find anyone better in the USA!

A wonderful house sitter and cat caretaker!
Marian was a dream to have sitting our house and looking after our cat while we were out of town for a month. For starters, she's a lovely person. She was great at communication and was conscientious in every way - from taking care that we were comfortable with all aspects of the arrangement beforehand, to making travel plans that meshed well with our own. She was very clean and tidy - in fact I'm sure the apartment looked better after she'd stayed! We were away to get married and go on honeymoon, so we especially appreciated the peace of mind that came with knowing Marian was there. I only hope she got as much out of the exchange as we did, as we were thrilled with how it all worked out.
