About this sitter
I’m originally from the US, but have lived, worked in Europe, Southeast Asia and the South Pacific, traveled extensively around the world throughout my life – because of this, I have a deep love, understanding, and respect for different cultures and ways of living. I love to travel and immerse myself in other cultures as well make new international friends. As an Artist and Surface Designer I aspire to peacefully work from wherever I am. Additionally, I absolutely love animals! I have been a pet owner myself and cared for many pets throughout my life (dogs, cats, birds, fish, bunnies). I understand your concerns, I have hosted many people in my homes around the world, and know how to organize, manage and maintain a stylish, clean, comfortable and safe abode. Bonus: plants will thrive with me —I have previously owned and operated a botanical garden on a tropical island, so I have a major green-thumb, and have a multitude of experience taking care of indoor/outdoor plants, flower gardens and vegetable gardens.
Why they want to house sit
Having both house sat and hosted house sitters in my home, I feel that it is one of the best ways to travel and explore the world. It’s a mutually beneficial solution, and it’s nice to have a home-base and some pets to care for while traveling. It really enriches the whole experience. Not to mention, it’s a great way to be a part of a cool community of travelers.

Lovely experience with such a wonderful house sitter.
Marijani did a superb job watching our house and our cat shadow. Communication was always timely and prompt, Marijani made sure to keep us updated and informed with any news related to Shadow or general house maintenance. Marijani is a very kind and lovely person. We had no problems at all and she really made us feel at ease when we were away. When we came home the house was absolutely spotless, Marijani kept it immaculate and even went out of her way to tidy it up. I would 100% recommend her services to anyone in need of a house sitter. Caring and Clean - highly recommend!!
Marijani took excellent care of our two pups while we were out of town. They warmed to her immediately and seemed calm and happy. The house was spotless when we returned, along with the lawn being mowed and plants watered. We would definitely welcome Marijani back and highly recommend her!

Excellent House and Dog Sitter!
Marijani took care of my home and 2 big dogs for a month, and I returned to happy healthy dogs, and neat tidy home. She kept me informed along the way, and took care of a big garden, and various little issues that arose regarding a tenant, the house cleaner, etc. In short, I would highly recommend Marijani for your home sit! Super house sitter
Marijani house sat for me during the summer of 2019. She was responsible for looking after my old-but very active -Cocker Spaniel, Nutmeg,; my Birman cat, and 2 ancient guinea pigs. The pets all loved her and her calming nature had a very positive effect upon Nutmeg. Marijani kept the cottage neat and tidy. I was at home during her stay-but needed a sitter as I work late evenings in a restaurant and it was a pleasure to have her company and help. I can thoroughly recommend, and would not hesitate to use again.

My cat sitter
To be honest, when I'm writing this review I'm still traveling, but I know my cat is doing well. Marijani proved to be very helpful. Everything was very smooth, from the first contact to the moment of departure. She is a very nice and warm person. I recommend her to anyone who needs a hassle-free caregiver.

2week house- and petsit in Antwerp
Marijani and her daughter were perfect housesitters! This has been our first experience with having 'strangers' taking care of our home and airbnb while on holiday, and it definitely won't be the last. Everything went smoothly. Marijani always replied promptly on my messages and always informed us of anything important. All the other day- to day things she handled independently, so we didn't have to think and worry about our house back in Antwerp while lying on the beach in Spain. All our flora and fauna was also content and wel fed :) Next time we plan a holiday, we will definitely first check if Marijani is available again since it would be a pleasure to have her and her beautiful daughter back at our place.
