About this sitter
We've been married 32 years and our children are in college. Don was a software engineer and both he and Yoli worked for Shell Oil and Boeing. Yoli worked as a systems analyst, magazine editor, and mostly recently helps friends and family with real estate transactions.
Don is especially handy with small repairs, painting, etc. He's "very by the book", a rule follower, and especially careful with other people's belongings and feelings. Yoli likes to read, puzzle, garden, hike and is good at organizing in case you need some help around the house. We love to travel and experience new hikes, restaurants and museums.
Why they want to house sit
We're newly retired and want to explore new places and think house sitting would give our travels some purpose and we can be of service while still enjoying our newfound freedom.
Their experience
Experienced? YES! -We've housesat in Seattle, San Diego (please see our testimonials) and Portland during summer/fall months because we like to get out of the Texas heat.
We live in Austin Texas and have owned several homes over the years and are also experienced landlords. We have done lots of remodeling/renovating work on most of our homes.
What can they bring to the assignment
A strong sense of responsibility and work ethic. We live by the 'golden rule'. We don't do anything when we travel that we would not want visitors to do in our home. We usually remove our shoes at the door and certainly don't wear shoes on carpet if we can help it.
We both used to have top secret clearances when we worked for Boeing. I have been cleared by the Austin Board of Realtors and my fingerprints are on file with the Texas Real Estate Commission as required for my license.

Thoughtful and Carring
Yoli and Don, Were amazing house and cat sitters. It always takes our tortoise-shell kitty, Josie, a little while to warm up to new people. Yoli and Don were patient and loving. In a few days Josie was sitting Yoli's lap. When we got home, Josie didn't want Yoli and Don to leave - and neither did we. We highly recommend Yoli and Don. They kept in touch throughout their stay.

Yoli and Don were amazing!
I had the good fortune of having Yoli and Don take care of my dogs, Heart and Soul, and my home for over 3 weeks while I was traveling for business. This was the first time I used Mind My House so I was a little nervous. To my delight, I couldn't have asked for better caretakers than this amazing couple. They not only did what we agreed to, but went well beyond with helping administer medication to my dog, being extremely flexible with my ever-changing schedule, sending cute pics of my dogs, and most of all, having a very can-do, positive attitude the whole time through. They are conscientious, caring, thoughtful, reliable, clean and treated my pets and house as if they were their own. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing great care of their home and pets while they are away. What a relief it was for me to know I had Yoli and Don there during my long time away. They are the best!
