About this sitter
We are a happily married couple who have had the opportunity to retire young. We are privileged to have a government pension that enabled us to do this early, so that we can travel and live life on our own schedule. Our kids are grown and on their own, so this also gave us the added title of "empty-nesters"! We have the time and the means to pick up and go whenever the travel bug bites! Our hope in house sitting, is that we get to visit cities/towns/villages that we might never have considered before, and to combine our love of immersing ourselves in new communities/cultures with our love of travel and animals. We are blessed to have the opportunity to help others, and house/pet sitting allows us to have a home to stay while we explore, and enjoy the added perk of a pet to have as our company.
Why they want to house sit
We want to continue exploring the world and have the opportunity to visit places we wouldn't think of. To immerse ourselves in the culture and country in which we visit, feels possible with the house sitting experience. We take immense pride in our own home, and so we feel we know how to treat someone else's home as if it were our own.
Their experience
We have four MindMyHouse pet and home sits completed, which made us love this community even more than we thought possible. We have now completed eight dog and cat/kitten fosters through the SPCA and are fortunate enough to fur sit some of our prior fosters! We have house sat for friends in the past, and we are experienced AirBnB guests and hosts. We understand the respect for rules and someone's household, as well as taking care of their pets. It is a huge responsibility that we do not take lightly. Our job is to care take, and enjoy the experience at the same time.
What can they bring to the assignment
We make friends easily, and truly enjoy getting to know our surroundings and the people that make up the community. We love animals very much, and since we have lost our beloved pooch Daisy Duke in February 2019, we have a lot of room in our hearts to give love and time to the furry ones. We are very clean, and observant of house rules. As a retired senior police officer and accountant, we have demonstrated that we are trustworthy members of society. Nadia was educated in French Immersion in her primary and high school years, and speaks French conversationally.

Excellent and friendly house/dog sitters
Nadia and Paul are a very friendly couple who got on very well and looked after our dog Teddy and our house for two months. Teddy had a daily brushing and nice walks, which he loved. The house was kept clean and they replaced what they used. We can recommend them without hesitation.

Terrific Housesitters!!!
Nadia and Paul are as gracious, adorable, communicative, and responsible a couple as there could be. I so enjoyed meeting them and immensely appreciated their tender and affectionate care of my three-legged cat with whom they genuinely bonded. (I realize I'm using a lot of superlatives but I'm not exaggerating) I liked, too, the way they seemed to appreciate and enjoy my eccletic art and the fun location of my home. Certainly I would commend them to anyone needing a pet/house sitter!

Our 2 month vacation
Paul and Nadia will become lifelong friends if you choose them to watch your house and pets. They are very accommodating, easy listeners, and followed our instructions to the T. Our dog Happy was very well taken care of and loved. Our saltwater tank was monitored well. They kept the house orderly, neat, and clean. We would love to use them again on any other vacations that we might be going on in the future. We vouch for Paul and Nadia with complete confidence in caring for your house and pets.

We are new to doing this so we were a bit anxious about leaving our rescue Husky to have a holiday, After talking to Paul and Nadia about our fears about leaving Hank and the stress it would cause him they put our minds at ease, they were so organised when it came to looking after our boy nothing was to much trouble for them. As all of us know how hard it is to leave our beloved pets at home while on holiday,you will have no worries with Paul and Nadia, They said they would keep in touch with photos and up dates every day and they did,it was as though we were at home with him, Even when I had problems getting my messages, they got in touch with our daughter so she could message us, now that is what I call dedication. Hank was well loved and had a wonderful time with them in his own surroundings, Our home was clean and tidy on our return and they even restocked with the food they had eaten. Paul and Nadia are the friendliest people you could ever meet and I hope to keep in contact with them as friends
