About this sitter
Hi! I'm a 66 yr young single woman looking to see the world and experience new places. I have the opportunity to work remotely, so if you have wifi, I'm in. Selfishly, I'm also looking to see what part of our country or another country that I would want to retire in a year. I'm very independent and growing up on a farm, I was exposed to "problem-solving" of all kinds.
Why they want to house sit
Partially, I want to avoid the harshest part of winter here in Minnesota. I love pets, all dogs, cats, bunnies and birds. Oh, and I love goats. They have such goofy personalities I find so amusing. I have a little experience with birds, taking care of friends and families parakeets.
Their experience
I grew up on a farm in North Dakota, where we had cows, chickens, pigs and of course, dogs and cats. I have always had cats and in the past 20 years have always had dogs. Animals seem to "take" to me pretty quickly. I think going slow and steady is the right way with most new animals and talking to them helps so much.
What can they bring to the assignment
Well, I'm mature and have come to love time with animals, even more than humans. haha. I promise I would NEVER be mean to an animal and would treat your property with great respect. Like I said, I'm 65 but in good shape. I walk and bike almost daily. I take care of my own house and yard. Having grown up on a farm and having had to help with maintenance of so many different things, I can handle most things without losing my cool, and using common sense.

Took Care of It Like it was Her Own
Brenda flew in and spent one night before we left for two weeks. I was so grateful that she turned out to be easy-going, had a good sense of humor, seemed even-keeled and like she could handle anything. Our cat took to her right away, which was a big relief. Brenda kept in contact with us, sending photos of our cat now and then so we didn't worry. She drove our car, stayed in our house and when we got home, everything was clean and tidy and neat. Nothing was broken and it was like we never left... except my amaryllis had bloomed, letting me know she had also taken great care of the plants, indoors and out. She took care of my house like it was her own and for that, I was very grateful. I would definitely call Brenda again!

Housesitter GEM!
Brenda is an absolute GEM! We are so grateful for her services during her stay at our home. We interviewed interested candidates and instantly chose Brenda. We checked in a few times, prior to the trip, which she was always accommodating of. She was completely reliable, followed all our requests/directions and truly met all our needs through our trip (15 days). She kept us updated throughout and we came home to happy animals, a clean home, and a new found friend. Our daughter, who lives in the area, spent a couple of evenings with her and seconds this review--she is glad to have befriended Brenda as well. We certainly hope we have as wonderful an experience with all our future house sitters from this site.....because Brenda set high standards!
