About this sitter
My name is Erika, I'm 62 years old, from Switzerland and have been offering house and pet care since the beginning of July 2020.
I take the job very seriously, look after your home, make sure your pets get a lot of love and attention and water your plants in the house and garden. I understand how important your pets and your home are to you. I will love your pets like my own, give them the utmost care, attention and company. I also respect your home, keeping it clean and tidy so that you can return to your home as you left it. In return, I can enjoy the house and the amenities that come with it. I am reliable, trustworthy, honest, orderly, I'm respectful with my own and some one else's property.
For many years I lived in my own house with my husband, daughter, a German shepherd, cat, chickens and rabbits. So I bring with me the experience of looking after a home and animals. My daughter is now married and I am grandmother of two adorable grandchildren.
After various further training courses, I worked in finance and payroll accounting. From 2013-2020 I traveled from Alaska to Fireland with a friend in an RV. It was a wonderful experience, I got to know different landscapes, cultures and people.
I love animals and I'm looking forward to getting to know other parts of the world. Through homesitting I can combine both.
I like to explore the surroundings, like to hike, read and enjoy being at home. I am calm, I don't like loud music, I am a non-smoker and a nature lover. I speak German and a few English.
Since I am a nature lover, I would like places where there is a bit of green in the area. The sit should be accessible by public transport. Otherwise I am open and happy to be surprised.
To get to know each other, I would like to communicate with you via WhatsApp, Skype or an other face to face call opportunity.
Why they want to house sit
I love pets and like to spent time with them. It is also wonderful to visit new places and meet the interesting people who live there. I feel more connected to the culture when I can live in an area for an extended period of time. I wish to feel more like local than a tourist.
With housesitting I want to see more of our great world.

Earlier I had a German shepherd, cats, chickens and rabbits, also I sat for dog and cats. I will ensure that both your home and animals are well cared for.

The most amazing sitter
Erika is exactly the person one wishes to find when leaving your beloved pet(s) and home! After we've met briefly, we had such a good feeling to leave our cat and home for almost 4 months to a "stranger". And we weren't disappointed! Erika is easy to communicate, absolutely trustworthy and careful. Our cat completely fell in love with her and missed her after she had left. We came back into a clean, organised and well looked after home and couldn't wish for more! I'm fully aware, that we might struggle to get Erika again after writing this testimonial, but she deserves the best review and we we can highly recommend her!

Sit vom 31.07 – 12.08.2021
Beginnen wir mit dem wichtigsten zuerst. Wir haben mit Erika einen riesen Glücksgriff gemacht! Sie ist sehr nett, hat sensationell gut zu unseren 4 Katzen geschaut, die verschiedene Sonderwünsche haben, wie Handfütterung etc. Sie hat sich alles gewissenhaft notiert und liess sich nicht von den diversen Zusatzmittel die die Kleinen brauchen abschrecken. Sie hat uns immer auf dem Laufenden gehalten und aus ihren Nachrichten spürten wir richtig, wie wohl sie sich fühlt und wie gut sie sich mit den Katzen auseinandersetzt. Etwas was für uns essentiell ist und war. Erika hat unser Haus sehr gut betreut, sie hinterliess es in einem tadellosen Zustand. Als wir nach Hause gekommen sind hat sie uns sogar noch ein Mittagessen gekocht und wir haben ein paar gemütliche Stunden zusammen verbracht, bevor sie zu ihrem nächsten Sit aufgebrochen ist. Die Kommunikation mit Erika war von Beginn weg äusserst freundlich, sie hat immer sehr schnell reagiert und uns über alle wichtigen Details auf dem Laufenden gehalten. Wir können uns glücklich schätzen, dass Erika Zeit gehabt und und noch glücklicher, dass sie für unsere nächsten Ferien zurück kommen wird. Wir können Erika absout emfehlen. Danke an Dich Erika dass Du so liebevoll zu unseren Familienmitgliedern geschaut hast und unser geliebtes zu Hause wertgeschätzt hast.

Housesit in Ettingen Sommer 2021
Erika hat während unseren Sommerferien liebevoll zu unserer Katzendame Lilly und zu unserem Haus geschaut. Sie hat uns regelmäßig auf dem ?aufendem gehalten wie es Lilly geht oder das zu Hause trotz dem Unwetter alles in Ordnung ist. Wir konnten unsere Ferien so richtig genießen weil wir wussten das Lilly und Haus in guten Händen sind. Wir danken Erika von Herzen dafür und würden uns freuen wenn wir Erika wiedereinmal bei uns begrüssen dürfen! Lilly wird sich freuen????

The perfect house and pet sitter !
Erika is a dream sitter, handling the job with professional attention, and with loving care for my young cat (and plants!) and leaving my house exactly as I had left it, but cleaner ! She has a warm heart, very discreet and respectful of my house. Although she didn't have a car, she is a fantastic walker and found her way around the town. It was the first time I used a house sitter, desperate to have someone around for my cat, not wanting to bother multiple friends and neighbours for 3 weeks. So when a friend suggested this site, I found Erika and even met with her (for an hour!) on Skype to get to know her. I immediately felt her honesty, simplicity and good intentions thanks to this video "interview." She loves to live for a while in new places, a born traveler like myself. She is the elite environment-friendly woman, and a creative toy-maker for cats ! While I was away, she sent me a message or a short video of the cat every two days. It was very comforting and really helped me relax during my stay. I can't imagine an easier, better home/pet sitter ! Even during confinement, if you have to leave your home, especially with pets, Erika, as a care-taker is a pro!
