About this sitter
Hi there
We're Pia and Mathias, a vegan couple from Germany. Our passion is traveling the world, meeting new people and exploring places where we haven't been before.
Other than only minding your house we love the company of cats. In case you're on holiday or need to be away for a business trip, we're the ones who take care of your home and your furballs.
Why they want to house sit
We'd like to house sit to explore new places and meet interesting people, while exchanging our time to mind your house and taking care of your cat(s). While we used to travel a lot, we couldn't have our own cat. Taking care of them from someone else would be an excellent compensation.
Their experience
Pia grew up with cats and loves having them around, and so do I. We used to rent our accommodation on Airbnb while traveling. Every single host was happy to have us and left great reviews. We also rented out our apartment a couple of times, so we know what it means to trust strangers with your belongings. Meanwhile, we had the opportunity to complete several house sits in Europe, Japan & Australia.
What can they bring to the assignment
Currently, we’re working from home. So, you can be sure that your cats have company most of the time :) Apart from that, we're quite handy and love to mow your lawn, and water your plants. =)

Mathias and Pia were amazing from the time we zoomed until they left our house. We had numerous contact messages while away and pictures of our cat being spoilt. We asked if we could extend our time away by a few days at late notice and they agreed to stay on. Our house was clean and tidy when we returned and we had some quality time with them before they moved on. Our cat misses them. We would certainly recommend Mathias and Pia to anyone wanting a great house minding experience.

Excellent and truly competent cat and house sitters
Mathias and Pia spent the summer looking after our two, very dear to us, cats. They instantly earned the trust and affection of our cats and we felt immediately at ease, knowing that we had left our cats and home in their capable hands. We received regular updates and pictures and felt completely confident that our cats were receiving the best possible care, attention, and affection. Mathias and Pia always responded quickly to our messages and competently took care of any needed home maintenance. Upon return, the house was wonderfully clean, with everything in order, happy cats, and nice clean bed linens. We feel very lucky to have had Mathias and Pia as house/cat sitters and wouldn't hesitate to have them look after our cats again.

Very responsible cat sitters
From the beginning there was a good feeling with Mathias and Pia. They are very communicative, conscientious, and trust worthy. They took care of my two cats for a month. Upon my return, I found happy cats, healthy plants and a house perfectly tidy and clean! I enjoyed getting to know Mathias and Pia, I felt very confortable leaving my house and I hope to have them as cat sitters again!!!

Excellent sitters - recommend highly
This was the second year that Mathias and Pia watched over our cat Nouchka and our home. They made it possible for us to leave for three months each time without worrying about what was happening at home. They are great communicators and let us know about any mail received and any minor problems encountered. They also sent pictures of Nouchka so we could see how she was doing. The house was in perfect shape when we returned. We had the pleasure of overlapping with them one night when we flew back, and they had a lovely meal waiting for us. Nouchka loves them. She moped for a full day after they left, curled up on the bed they had used. We would definitely have Mathias and Pia back again in a heartbeat. If you are looking for reliable housesitters, they would be great.

Perfect housesitters
Mathias and Pia took care of our house and Nouchka, our cat, for three months in 2021. They were excellent communicators and took perfect care of both our pet and home. They left everything exactly as we left it. This was our fifth year using MindMyHouse and they were the best sitters yet. We recommend them wholeheartedly!

Amazing cat sitters!
Mathias and Pia are the absolute best cat/house sitters. The communication was easy, they are super nice and trustworthy. They took care of our 2 cats for 2 weeks in Amsterdam. They regularly sent us pictures of our furballs during their stay, they kept in touch so we knew how Tomi and Rosie were doing, which we really appreciated. Upon our return, our house was spotless, our plants watered and our cats happy and relaxed. We highly recommend them !
