Hello dear pet owners! My name is Eveline Gina. I'm kind of a modern nomad; I like travelling and to get to know new places and meeting people. I love animals, but especially for cats and dogs, I do have a soft spot. Because of my moving around quite a bit, I don’t have any animals on my own, because I believe that they need a steady base where they can live and know their surroundings. When I’m looking after a cat or a dog, or both, or several of them, then I adopt them for a little while as if they were mine. I've also had the occasion to look after birds (20 of them!) rabbits, a pony, two sheep and chickens. All a wonderful experience!

Why they want to house sit

Spending more time at a place and getting to know the locals, culture and traditions, as well as the surroundings, is what I like. I love being around animals and it is my pleasure to be with them as much as possible. They are just great company I find. I’ve joining the ”Trusted Housesitters” site, to extent the locations of my sittings in Europe; maybe to travel to the US in some future too. I'm fluent in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German and my Portuguese is making progress (slowly but surely) :) .

Their experience

I’ve been house sitting with and without animals for more than ten years. Most of it in Tarifa, where I’ve lived for several years. After that I returned every year for a few months. I came to do house- and pet sitting there, because friends asked me more and more often to look after their pets whilst they where abroad. As I manage to bond quite easily with the different four paws, I started to look after quite a lot of cats and dogs. Every now and then, I was asked to look after a house for several months, without animals but with a big terrace full of flower pots or with a garden to keep in shape. Great to spent time planting, weeding and maintaining green spaces! Since then I've been house-and petsitting in other places in Spain and in France and Portugal.

What can they bring to the assignment

I am a responsible, trustworthy, reliable and respectful person. I've been looking after very beautiful houses and I've always received a very appreciative feed-back of the owners. I'am resourceful and I have great affection and empathy for the animals. I love life outdoors, so dogs are very happy to have me around for the hikes. Looking after houses, keeping them in good order and maintained, is what I do thouroughly. In the past, I've been looking also after roof gardens with plenty of plants to be cared for.
