About this sitter
I am a mature woman and a retired educator with multiple domestic and farm skills. I am fairly well traveled and would like to expand on this. I have no problem staying in rural or isolated areas.
Why they want to house sit
I would like to expand my horizons, meet new people, bond with their animals, visit new cities, countries and absorb new cultures and ideas. All history is appealing to me.
I love to make my home available for travelers. I enjoy meeting new people and sharing stories. It really is a small and interesting world!
Their experience
I was the caretaker for 14 years for a home here locally. It was used by many people over those years. I kept up the home and the landscape.
I have good references. I have am bond-able and have no police record.
I've built and remodeled my homes and have large vegetable and flower gardens. I am an avid walker and hiker and love spending time outdoors.
As for animals...well, I am an animal lover of all sorts, and get along easily with them and accepted by them. I have always had a dog and a cat, as well as having had a farm with multiple farm animals.
What can they bring to the assignment
I've got a good sense of responsibility, an eye for detail and the energy to take on new challenges. Being a home owner, I am aware of the daily care it takes to keep up a home. I have a clear understanding of how to handle an emergency, or how to trouble shoot minor problems. I am handy with tools and like to keep busy.
I have raised three children and several dogs and cats. I love animals and found that they like me!

A Wonderful House Sitter
House sitting is often a gamble for both the home owner and the sitter. Michelle, once she met our young, energetic, barking, jumping...did I say barking?...dogs, I feared she might have felt on the short end of the gamble. However that was not the case. Michelle is a thoughtful, conversant, flexible and responsible house sitter (I am tempted to say house guest). It is such a delight to find someone who meets all your expectations and becomes something of a friend besides. Our endorsement is without qualification; I hope Michelle is able to return deep into the future. We may need to travel more to keep our relationship fresh. I checked all the boxes except the garden as that didn't come into play but if she sits in the spring or fall I suspect that one would be checked too. Without qualification she has our endorsement. Such sweet relief for things to turn our so very well.

What a beautifull person Michelle is....
We had the honor of having Michelle stay with us and watch our little boomer dog Daisy, we immediately had good contact, and she is a wonderful loving and sweet organised women who is very trust-able. She was very good and sweet with our little dog and the 2 parakeets we have, i really wanted to keep her, but of course she needed to go back home. I really recommend her if you want someone who is as sweet nice trust-able loving caring as she was for us. I hope she will be with us another time, i really do miss her ALOT! And im blessed having the opportunity to met with her. I am sorry my English writing isnt that good, we are from the Netherlands..... Michelle, thank you so much for everything you did, especially being yourself. You are a beautiful person.
