Travel family with a big heart

About this sitter

Hi my name is Freya. I’m a mom and a housewife and I travel with my husband Holger and our 3 children (12, 8 and 3 years old). We have a heart for animals and nature.

We grew up in the countryside in the Rheingau with cats, rabbits and chickens and we love being in their company.
We love our home surrounded by the River Rhine, vineyards and forests. But want to discover the beauty of the world with our children.

We started our family trip 2020 and lived on La Palma (Canary Island) for one and a half year and continued our journey in Spain (Catalonia and Andalusia). Then we traveled through the Netherlands. At the moment I‘m with the kids on the Canary Islands and Holger is working in Switzerland.
We want to embrace the world and love to enjoy life, laugh, play and be in nature with our children.

Why they want to house sit

We love discovering new and magical places on this wonderful earth and get to know people, cultures and countries through house sitting is a simply great opportunity.

Their experience

We had our first experience in a traditional Canarian House and looked after the house and garden.
Then we spent half a year at a place with many cats (kittens) and lots of chickens with a large permaculture garden and were responsible for the animals, plants and their watering.
We were house- and petsitter in Andalusia in a wonderful mill house in the middle of nowhere with a large garden and fruittrees. In this paradise we lived for a few month with a dog and some cats and lovingly took care of the house, the animals and the gardening.
After returning home to our families, we spent a few weeks in the Netherlands, where we cuddled as sitters with a lovely cat in his home.

What can they bring to the assignment

We bring positive energy and children's laughter, knowledge in gardening, pet caring and enormous love for Mother Earth and all living beings with us.
Holger works as a Life Coach and Author from home. He has currently taken a temporary job in Switzerland. As a mom, I want my family to feel comfortable in your home, just as if it is our home.
We love being in nature and taking long walks and exploring the area.
