About this sitter
I was a home owner for over 40 years and sold my house in 2021 to retire early and travel. I am single and free to go wherever life takes me. I love exploring new places, creating memories, learning about other cultures and experiencing all that life has to offer.
Why they want to house sit
Housesitting gives me the freedom to explore the world, and experience a variety of cultures, traditions and environments without the cost of accommodations. As well I have the opportunity to spoil, care for, and love your non-human family members.

For over 40 years I have taken care of many friends and family's homes, children and pets whenever the opportunity presented itself. I have personally had and/or taken care of a variety of animals: dogs, cats, turtles, fish, bearded dragons, chickens, snakes, reptiles and other rodents.

I owned my own home for over 40 years in Florida. I am very experienced in maintaining, caring for and occasionally repairing a variety of issues. š We were SO blessed to have Maria again. š Jazz showed absolutely no sign of anxiety or distress when we left, he was thrilled to be with his āAuntie Riaā; and our whole month in Europe went without the slightest worry about him. We knew Maria had him covered, loved and beautifully cared for- including getting the care he needed at the vetās. I could write pages about how Maria goes above and beyond, always eager to help and amazingly efficient at whatever she tackles- not just with Jazz but around the house, the yard and even our Airbnb! Wowsa!
This was the second time I asked .aria to take care of my pet family. They love her! They kept looking for her the first few days. As a pet person, I have such confidence in Maria. She loves them up! !! AMAZING AND PERFECT IN EVERY WAY !!
We were blessed with our second pet/home sitter from Mind My House! Every trip to Europe is challenging because we do not want to impose plane travel on our beloved dog Jazz. So it is always with a heavy heart that we approach the date and look for a sitter. We were late doing so this time around for our Christmas/ New Year's holidays, but boy were we lucky. We spent a long time video chatting with Maria and liked her instantly. The more we talked, the more we knew she would be perfect for Jazz, since our previous sitter was not available. This was the only video we set up and we immediately confirmed our commitment to having Maria in our home. She came a day early so we had time to show her around, and enjoy getting to know her. We loved everything she brought to the scene, and Jazz didn't even bark when she showed up- a sure sign he was at ease. Our stay in Europe was made all the easier by Maria's care, messaging, and pictures. She and Jazz got along beautifully and we returned to a happy pet and a beautifully maintained home. Maria went above and beyond to play with, walk around our forest with, and love Jazz. She had a hard time leaving him, and her kindness and love showed in every way. We HIGHLY recommend Maria and would entrust our home and Jazz to her any time whatsoever. She is a fabulous person and a fascinating human being to get to know. Unbelievable!
Maria was absolutely unbelievable in the way she took care of my precious fur kids, my home and me! She kept me in the loop with photos of walks in different parks with my dogs and photos of the cats and dogs all snuggled on her bed. Maria was so kind, so nice- I wish she lived nearby. The house was left immaculate and like I never left. The animals were sad to see her go! I would not hesitate to have her stay here again. Any one would be lucky to have Maria as a committed and wonderful sitter who truly loves animals.
