We are a semi-retired couple that love to travel, meet new people, experience living in different countries, and living like the local folks.
Why they want to house sit
We want to offer others some peace of mind, knowing that their pets are loved and treated well while they are away.
Their experience
Yes. We have been cat and dog owners over the years and are well acquainted with the responsibility of their care. It’s not just about feeding and watering, but being attentive and treating them like part of the family.
We have also done workaways in France, Italy and Greece caring for pets- cats, dogs, chickens and goats in addition to property maintenance.
Also have experience in pool maintenance from our last house sit.
I am also a licenced auto mechanic. My career prior to being a paramedic for 40 years

Having lived on a country property for 30 years, our experience with property maintenance, animal care, and housekeeping ensures that your home will be treated as our home, and will be looked after with great care.

Rod and Debbie made the great step of coming to stay in my house all the way from western Canada. They were excellent house sitters. Rod was very handy with DIY projects and offered to fix several things that required repairing and was happy to tackle the others that I asked him to do. My house and garden were in good repair when I came back. They were an easy couple to talk to and they made friends with some of the locals during their month in my house. Hope t0 host them another time.

Outstanding First TIme Sitters
FABULOUS - Yes!! This was a one-of-a-kind experience in a good way of course!!!! We can’t thang Rod & Debbie enough for going that extra mile and accommodating our change of dates. For the first week our plans changed as we stayed on with my elderly mum who didn’t want to go back to the UK so we ended up spending the week all together –making friends and going out and about. |My mum is now their biggest fan alongside us. We also had to postpone our return date for a couple of days due to a family funeral but we still manged to spend their last night together before going for a lovely lunch en-route to the airport. Apart from the fact that all our animals, 2 dogs, 2 cats and our home were looked after wonderfully and Rod & Debbie had done some painting, gardening and improvements which made our home coming even more special.– we feel that we have made friends for life. During their stay there were regular WhatsApp updates and chats and they dealt with anything that needed to be sorted in a calm professional manner and kept us informed at all time. This was Rod & Debbie’s first housesit (they had done workaways before) and we would totally recommend them to other owners – form an orderly queue behind us!! They are planning to come back to sit for us again later on this year and hopefully we can get to spend some more time together as well. We loved their can-do attitude and our pets and home were very well cared for. We look forward to meeting up with you both again soon Hasta la proxima Ginnie & Dave
