House/cat sitter Mijas summer 2023

Francisco looked after our house and elderly cat Scatty for nearly 4 months this summer while Karolina, I and our three dogs toured the north of Europe. A week or so before we left, Francisco was finishing a house-sit in northern Spain and made a significant deviation on his way home to visit us, which was very good of him to do so. We liked him immediately and we could see that he's a very personable and organised man with valuable house/pet sitting experience so we were very happy that he could look after our house and Scatty for the indefinite period that we were planning to be away. We briefed him on the various professionals who maintain the pool and garden and also on a contractor who would work with our gardener to repair a significant part of the lawn while we all were away and he liaised with them and oversaw their work. During the summer, Francisco kept in touch, giving us frequent updates on the house, state of the garden and of course Scatty. He also told us that he was really enjoying staying in Mijas and had made several friends, which is very pleasing for us. When we arrived home, the house was very clean and tidy and Francisco briefed us on the various things that had occurred in the house and garden during the summer. We were tired after a week of driving and he had thoughtfully prepared us a lovely Spanish dinner, which we enjoyed together. As you can see from this and Francisco's other testimonials, he is a lovely man who can be trusted fully to look after houses and pets and we thoroughly recommend him. We would like to thank him for looking after our house and Scatty so well and we wish him well and hope to have him house-sit for us again in the future.

I would highly recommend Paco to look after your house & pets. He is very scrupulous, he regularly kept me informed of the well-being of my 18 year old cat with messages and photos. I returned to an immaculate swimming pool and surrounding areas, the plants had been regularly watered. On my return, late evening, I was welcomed to an assorted of breakfast delights for the next morning Paco went the extra mile I would certainly welcome him back to house sit

Muy buena gente de confianza

Paco es una persona muy agradable y responsable. Durante 3 semanas cuidó nuestro gato y casa. Durante su estancia, se mantenio en contacto con nostros, enviándonos fotos del gato y las aventuras que hizo. Nos hizo sentir muy tranquilos. Volvimos a un gato feliz y una casa más cuidada que cuando la dejamos! Disfrutamos mucho los pocos días que tuvimos juntos. Es una persona muy interesante y fácil de charlar. Es amante de la naturaleza y se hizo amigo de nuestros vecinos. Además, habla inglés! Estamos muy agradecidos a Paco y lo recomendaríamos sin ninguna duda. Siempre estará bienvenido en nuestra casa.

The perfect house guest!

It was a great relief having Francisco staying in my house. He arrived very punctually and immediately understood and appreciated the dynamic of Cortijo el Peñon. I loved having someone here who evidently enjoyed the area and the house as much as I do. He kept me updated throughout my trip, with photos and reassuring messages, and I had no doubt the cat family were very happy and well cared for! I returned to find a spotless house and garden (tidier than when I left!) and I thoroughly recommend Francisco as a most reliable and likeable person.
