About this sitter

We are Johannes and Anna, 34 and 38 years young, living together in Germany, Cologne since 8 years. We're working in online business and spend most of the day at home. That means your home will be safe and your pets will have company for the whole day. But we are no workaholics so that we can (and want to :-)) spend a lot of time with your animals.
We are very reliable, clean, tidy, discrete and honest.

We enjoy long walks, reading books, cooking and having quiet evenings. You can be sure that we will treat your home like it was ours. Same for your beloved pets. We are very transparent in communication and sending pictures and updates from your furry friends is naturally – if you want.

Why they want to house sit

We are big animal lovers and since we are living together, we would love to have a cat and a dog. As we are living in the middle of a big city, we cannot offer a pet a suitable home (for now).

Homesitting doesn't mean tourism for us - where to sit is secondary. Of course it's nice to visit new places, but it's more like the combination of meeting new people, being surrounded by animals and support people being more flexible with their holiday plans.
We are no Hotel-people. We always try to surround us with inhabitants, spending our stays via couchsurfing or AirBnb, to gain an authentic insight into the life of locals.

Their experience

Though Homesitting via an official platform is new for us, we are experienced. Whenever our friends or relatives are traveling, we take care about their pets – mostly cats and dogs. We even move into their homes to not take the pets out of their comfort zone.

We both grew up with animals and there was no day in our youth where we haven’t been surrounded by dogs or cats. Anna has a lot of experience with dogs, her family always had rescue dogs who sometimes had tough backgrounds. One of her dogs, Charlie, a huge black Labrador-Rottweiler-mix, was very aggressive when he entered their family. With a lot of patience and trust he transformed to a lovely, cuddly furry nose.

What can they bring to the assignment

If something is to be organized with vet, craftsmen, security or anything else: we communicate fluent in English, German, Spanish and have a basic understanding in French and Italian.

As a former car mechatronics engineer Johannes is talented as a craftsmen. In his youth he jobbed in a carpentry for a couple of years.
