About this sitter
We are a friendly, responsible, rabidly non-smoking professional couple just starting out in our house-sitting career. We have recently sold our home of over 20 years and have been traveling around Australia. Now that international travel is opening up, we are expanding our wings.
We both have United Kingdom and Australian passports and are both triple vaccinated with Pfizer Comirnaty.
Why they want to house sit
We enjoy slow travel and are interested in spending time in one locality really getting to know the area. Having some pets to lavish attention on is an added advantage.

We have been registered on an Australia only housesitting website where we have done multiple house sits of various lengths from less than a week to almost three months. We are happy to put you in contact with our referees should you like to chat to anyone.
What can they bring to the assignment
We like most animals and have been long term owners of multiple cats from kitten age until their passing. We have owned a border collie dog, hens and goldfish. Previous experience has also included familiarity with horses, goats, sheep, kangaroos and wallabies (seriously :)) and various types of birds, both poultry and caged, and tropical fish. Very willing to care for any animals, even snakes - just tell us exactly what you want done. Additionally, De'ana works remotely as a drafter so is able to be present in your home at all times for those pets that require constant companionship. After many years of pet ownership, De'ana is capable of getting medication into even the most unwilling cat or dog.
We owned our previous home for over 20 years and while we are not claiming to be experts, we know how to care for and clean your house and maintain your gardens to keep everything looking respectable and occupied. We are respectful of people and their belongings and are aware of the importance of privacy and discretion, particularly in how this relates to caring for your home and belongings.
We both have recent police checks, personal references and house sitting references and we would be happy to communicate with you via phone, email, skype or any other online communication before and during our stay and where possible would be more than willing to meet you and your pets prior to making any concrete arrangements.

Excellent and reliable housesitters
We feel lucky to have met De’ana and Mark, who traveled all the way from Australia to Laos to take care of our dogs, cat, plants and house. Upon arrival they both embraced both dogs and the cat, and the pets obviously felt comfortable with them. They took notes of all that required or might require their attention, and immediately joined to help with the work with the dogs and other things in the house. We left the house and our beloved pets well assured that all is in best hands. Their very easy-going but very responsible nature made us feel at ease to leave our pets in their care while we were away. Over the course of nearly two months, De’ana and Mark proved to be excellent pet and house sitters. They took very good care of the dogs, cat, garden, and the house, and we appreciated the updates they communicated to us, and were so assured all was in best hands. The animals obviously very much enjoyed the care and attention they were given, and it was a delight to come back to our house with all of them very healthy and very well looked after. The house and the garden was as we left and all was in best order, and it would be a pleasure to have them around on another occasion again. We are happy to highly recommend De’ana and Mark as very reliable, trustworthy, modest and responsible persons for any house and pet sitting opportunities.
