Hola , somos Lola y Hugo (madre e hijo). Nos encantan los animales y nos encanta viajar. Así es que pensamos que esta será un gran experiencia.
Tengo 50 años, soy maestra de pedagogía terapéutica y tengo dos meses de verano de vacaciones para poder conocer otros países, idiomas y culturas. Además la posibilidad de poder convivir y cuidar de tus mascotas, me encanta.
En casa, adoramos a los animales. Tenemos dos perros y dos gatos. Lennon, un caniche que ya es un anciano que toma medicación a diario (no hay problema si yo tuviera que dar medicación a tu mascota), Sandy una labradora muy enérgica, Gremly, un gato persa dulce y cariñoso y Pistacho, recogido de la calle cuando era un bebé en muy mal estado y que nos robó el corazón.
Mi hijo, Hugo, tiene 15 años , es un apasionado de los animales y de los viajes. Es un gran estudiante, muy responsable, también con sus mascotas en casa y las tareas que él tiene asignadas con ellos. Además de encantarle pasear a Lennon y jugar con la alocada Sandy.
Le encanta leer y tocar el piano.
En casa tenemos un enorme jardín con muchísimas plantas y en primavera y verano un pequeño huerto, que cuidamos entre mis dos hijos y yo.

Hello, we are Lola and Hugo (mother and son). We love animals and we love to travel. So we think this will be a great experience.
I am 50 years old, I am a teacher of therapeutic pedagogy and I have two months of summer vacation to get to know other countries, languages ??and cultures. In addition, the possibility of being able to live together and take care of your pets, I love it.
At home, we love animals. We have two dogs and two cats. Lennon, an elderly poodle who takes daily medication (no problem if I had to give your pet medication), Sandy, a very energetic Labrador, Gremly, a sweet and affectionate Persian cat, and Pistachio, picked up from the street. when he was a very bad baby and he stole our hearts.
My son, Hugo, is 15 years old, he is passionate about animals and travel. He is a great student, very responsible, also with his pets at home and the tasks that he has assigned to them. In addition to loving walking Lennon and playing with crazy Sandy.
He loves to read and play the piano.
At home we have a huge garden with many plants and in spring and summer a small orchard, which my two children and I take care of.

Responsible and Respectful
Lola and her son, Hugo, stayed in our apartment for about two weeks. I have a huge garden, many house plants and a dog - all of which Lola took wonderful care of. Lola sent videos of our dog on walks and even made a special point to be home to accept an important package that was to arrive after our departure. Our home was clean and tidy when we returned. Lola is a trustworthy, mature and kind person whom I recommend to anyone.

Taking care of our garden and house better than we do
We would - and probably will - ask Lola and Hugo to take care of our garden and house whenever there is an opportunity. Lola is a very kind, diligent and intelligent woman. She immediately felt trustworthy and made sure we felt comfortable with everything. It was our first time leaving our home to someone else, and she really put us at ease: she came earlier, made a video to tell a bit more about herself and Hugo, she asked all the right questions, listened carefully and never passed any judgement. We had just installed our irrigation system - a crucial element during the summer in Portugal, given the high risk of wild fires - and she took the time to really understand it. This would prove very important as the system had issues while we were away. She was able to detect the issues, diagnose them and present solutions - or just fix it directly herself. Her communication was clear, timely and never attempting to assign blames or excuses. It was very refreshing. We had a plan for all the tasks, which she and Hugo performed thoroughly, and timely, every day. This is something we don’t really do ourselves, but they managed to do it. The house was, we like to believe, clean and tidy, with everything ready for their arrival. Still, when we came back, the house was in an ever better condition, although that wasn’t necessary. Finally, both Hugo and Lola showed a genuine interest and curiosity in what we were trying to achieve with our garden / food forest. This, allied with sharp intelligence, was a winning combination to face all the unexpected situations that popped up during our time away. While Lola is fluent in Spanish, Hugo - her son - speaks English extremely well. Between the two, they were able to keep the communication always clear and efficient - both with our family, and the surrounding community. We wish you good luck, in trying to secure Lola and Hugo as your house sitters - they are excellent!
