My profile is informative to save you needing to ask questions, however questions are very welcome if you feel I haven't covered something you wish to know. I will update as the need arises.

I will need to be in Spain for the months of April/May.

Most importantly I'm allergic to horses and cats, but I love all animals especially dogs. I am NOT allergic to donkeys :D
It should be noted that I am a smoker ( only outside and I dispose of sensibly and am fully aware of fire risks)
I am an independent female who sometimes travels alone, However at this time I am travelling wirh my husband, I will update my profile if this changes.
I spent many years doing housesitting from this site with my daughter and husband before we had a dog, we then stopped travelling for around 4 years to concentrate on a voluntary renovation project. The travelling bug has got me again, so I'm on the move ;)
We have Spanish residency.

About my husband:
My husband is officially retired. He was a college lecturer during his working years. He is quiet and very easy going and likes to spend his retirement reading, walking our dog, cycling and travelling in our motorhome, usually in France because we both love the countryside and small villages.

I mostly take the slow road to admire the planet.

I had to create a new account, because my membership lapsed...so I had many more testimonials previously which cannot be recovered.

I am travelling in my motorhome so I will not need to use your accommodation.....thanx in advance🥰
I will just need space to park my motorhome, so we can discuss height, width, length and weight. I am not okay to park outside your property on the street, or in a nearby carpark.

I do other volunteering besides housesitting and security, I use other websites for this, therefore there will be gaps in my sitting dates.....but for sure I am usually either travelling or volunteering in some way, but may be available at short notice, especially if I happen to be passing by near to you. I am not dependent on volunteering/housesitting I just do it as and when it arises or if something particularly interests me.

I am a vegetarian as is my husband I am gluten intolerant, which has made me very inventive and innovative with cooking to maintain a healthy diet containing natural vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Basically, I know about food :)

I am an independent female full of energy and zest for life, always looking on the bright side. I am very friendly and get along with all types/cultures of people. I have been told my sense of humour can be misunderstood :/

My children are grown and left home now, however, myself, husband and youngest child house sat together through this site for over 10 years, until we took on a long term project.

I have Spanish residency as does my husband, so don't need visas for schengen, but we are both English by birth. I don't speak Spanish as well as I would like, but can manage somewhat.

I am good at/and absolutely love gardening, weeding and all, and know my digitalis from mesembryanthemum.

I am fully capable of dealing with generators, solar panels and off grid living....as is my husband.

I will leave your home as I find it, and respect it more than I would my own.

I will love your pets as much as I do my own. I have a small female dog who travels with me, she is young at heart and playful and loves all other dogs and people. She does not need to enter your home, as she has the motorhome, also if your property is not fenced, I have a long lead that she can be tied to when outside.

If you are selling your property, I am happy to see in estate agents/viewers and will maintain upkeep if required.
I have done quite a few security sits with no animals, just requiring upkeep etc.

I do NOT charge for housesitting/security/upkeep because I see it as a fair exchange, and have been doing voluntary work for many years.
Also it needs to be noted that I am not ok to pay for electricity bills etc. or leave a refundable deposit for any reason, because I work on trust. I need to trust the homeowner as much as they need to trust me, it works both ways.
I have profiles on the site as both a homeowner and a sitter.

I can be flexible on dates, for example, if you were delayed on your return it wouldn't be a problem for me, because I leave plenty of space for unforeseen circumstances/travel delays etc.

Why they want to house sit

I housesit because I am travelling again, and so would like to help people whenever I can, it's not something I need to do to save money on hotels etc. because I have our motorhome, which I prefer to stay in whilst housesitting. I also love to do gardening, which I can't do where I live, because we live in an apartment, so housesitting often fills this gap.

What can they bring to the assignment

I can bring love for your pets, and security/upkeep to your property I don't need to be a tourist because I can do that any time. I am fully prepared to do gardening, in fact I would love to, as I like to be busy. I am adaptable and familiar with being outside of my comfort zone ...so to speak, in fact I am happier in a rustic ruin than in a perfect mansion.
I am reasonably handy, can fix small things..ie: tap washers, basic plumbing, loose door handles etc. as can my husband, although he is retired so prefers a slow pace. I can build ponds, walls, do garden landscaping. I do not panic and I am a trier. I am extremely resourceful and very reliable, giving up is not something I'm familiar with.
My husband often likes to stay at home, whilst I go off volunteering to keep busy, but for the forseeable future he will be travelling with me.(2026)
