About this sitter
I genuinely enjoy being in the company of animals and take care of them. Really love animals, that is why I decided to embrace a vegan lifestyle.
Why they want to house sit
I would like to experience different places as a local.
Basic needs: reliable Wi-Fi, drinking water, and heating (in case of cold countries).
Ideal house-sitting assignment: long term, preferably in Catalunya-Valencia (Spain) or South of France. Drinking water and Wi-Fi are fundamental.
Their experience
I have approximately 10 years experience in house/companion animal sitting, as well as manager of tourist properties.
I have done volunteering in animal sanctuaries in Italy and Spain with over 80 (non-human) animals of different species, rescued from exploitation.
What can they bring to the assignment
Experience as well as honesty. I like mindmyhouse because it helps in bringing back a very important value we have lost as a society: mutual trust.
It is important to note that I do not support farms where animals are basically seen as properties to exploit for human benefit. I do not feel comfortable working in farms. Ethics come before profit.

A true pet lover!!
Silvia has a great personality and we clicked from the get go. She took great care of our golden retriever and cat for just over 2 weeks. We can not be any more happier! She kept contact with us with pictures and any concerns she had. She really went the extra mile with our fur-babies and for that we are so gratedfull. She treated our house like her own and our furbabies too :-). Would use her again in a heartbeat.

SW France house-sit
Silvia stayed at my home recently for several days to look after the house and a regularly-visiting young cat that's taken up residency in my barn. Everything went perfectly well whilst I was away, she arrived exactly as planned, sent me updates of how things were going during the stay and when I returned all was in perfect order, so I can't thank her or recommend her more highly and would happily have her back here when I'm next away. Silvia stayed in our house for almost 6 weeks this time while we were away on Holiday. Because Silvia took care of our house, our 2 dogs and cat before (this is the second time she was house sitting for us) we knew that our animals were in good hands. When we came back, our house was nice and clean and our animals were all happy and healthy. Silvia is great
Silvia stayed almost 3 weeks in our house during the Xmas holidays. She took care of our 2 dogs and our cat. She really loves animals, and we left the house knowing that everything would be OK with our house and pets. We would really recommend Silvia to other home owners. And we would love to have her back the next time we go away for holidays.

Very good experience!
it was our first time leaving our house and pets in the care of a housesitter. And we were very lucky to have such a friendly, caring, clean, flexible housesitter. It is quite some work to look after the house, plants and pets but it went perfectly. We have a long haired rabbit that needs some attention brushing her hair and she was very good brushed! The dogs loved the attention they looked very happy, in the photos she send us. We came home to healthy pets and a very clean home :) definitely recommended

Silvia has been very nice and reliable since the beginning. I’ve had the feeling I could really trust her and her natural ability of taking care of animals.
