About this sitter
Hi there! Both of us are in the beginning of our 40’s and we have been working as IT Systems Engineers for about 20+ of those years in Flanders, the Dutch part of Belgium. We speak Dutch, English, French, a little bit of German and are in the process of learning Spanish.
We are a well-oiled couple without kids that love to be immersed in all the beauty nature has to offer. Walking, hiking and running are some of our favourite ways to explore the outdoors, at least when we are not working behind the scenes/screens. Our vegetable patch has been our main source of joy for several years, together with our flock of chickens, turkeys and fluffy cat.
Why they want to house sit
Our interest in house-sitting comes mainly from our desire to emigrate out of Belgium and scouting for a new place to call home. House-sitting seems like an ideal opportunity to get to know a country and get in touch with locals, so we can really experience living somewhere beyond a regular vacation. The time has come for us to broaden our horizons and we hope to gather many new ideas to build a new home for ourselves one day.
Their experience
In the past we have tended to the house and pets of relatives on holiday numerous times. More recently in 2020 we did an almost 5-month housesit for friends where took the effort to solve a number of issues in and around the house, much to the delight of both parties.
For many years we have enjoyed raising our own chickens, growing our own vegetables and doing some beekeeping so we are not afraid to get our hands dirty. We used to have cats too, but due to our migration plans we are currently pet-less, and are longing for the day where we can enjoy animal company and care again.
What can they bring to the assignment
In our jobs we are given big responsibility over IT environments as sysadmins so trust, care and discretion are key elements of our character, accompanied with a problem-solving attitude. Likewise, being respectful and considerate for others property, pets or equipment is only logical for us.

Absolutely amazing pet sitters!! I honestly cannot say enough good things.
Where do I find the words to describe these beautiful people? But-- I must try! So here goes: Manu and Nathalie are the most incredible house sitters AND pet sitters we've ever had the pleasure of meeting-- and we've had some pretty amazing house sitters!! Not only did they send us the most beautiful photos of our pets and keep us updated as to their funny antics, but they made our house spotless to welcome us home! (Added plus: our pots and stove weren't burned or stained at all. That was new!!) My daughter's millions of little plants were ALL in stellar health! (Not as easy as it sounds.) Upon our return, they cooked us a lovely meal and were so charming and fun to chat with that we invited them to stay an extra two nights with us! I would trust them with anything I would ever need. They are kind, reliable, committed, detail-oriented, intelligent, and just all-around great people!! House sitters don't get any better than this. I'm pretty sure next time they'll be putting in a gorgeous hot tub just to surprise us. Haha! :)

Awesome experience
Manu and Natalie have been exceptional good house sitters for our home, our dog, our garden and our greenhouse. They are very well organized. Before they started, they asked everything which was important to take good care and we hadn’t thought about. They were very autonomous, since we weren’t reachable during our absence. When we came back, the house was in an excellent condition. It was tidy, the dog was happy and everything was growing well. Manu and Nathalie took care of our home at least as well as we do. Their experience with animals and their green fingers for sure helped a lot. If for the next time they would be available for our home, we would be glad if they choose to house sit for us again.

Fantastic Housesitters
We could not have asked for more caring, respectful, and wonderful housesitters than Manu and Nathalie. During their time on our property with our furbabies, they went out of their way to make sure the animals had love and attention the whole time we were away (including even having to rescue one of our cats when he was stuck in a thicket of brush way away from the property.) While we were away, they sent us many photos of the pets and property, and they were in regular communication with us regarding various issues on the property which really helped keep our mind at ease. They even went out of their way to make us feel welcomed back when we returned. I truly cannot recommend Manu and Nathalie enough - anyone would be extremely fortunate to have them as housesitters in the future.
