About this sitter
Seth and Vanya are a healthy, responsible couple who love nature, animals and living simply. We are looking for long term sitting opportunities worldwide.
Why they want to house sit
We are both professionals who have unplugged from the "normal" way of living and we are loving visiting and exploring other countries and their cultures. Sitting is a great way for us to do this and help people in the process. We run a virtual co-coaching with emotional intelligence business.
Their experience
Yes, we are active on this site as well as TrustedHousesitters (there is a link to our TrustedHousesitter profile in the Personal Details section below). In 2022, we watched a small farm in the jungle of Peru for three months, caring for the gardens, dogs, cats and chickens. After that, we house sat for a month in the USA, and then two months in North Yorkshire, UK. For the remained of 2023, we watched homes, gardens and dogs in England, Scotland, Ireland and finished off with a 3 month sit in Andalusia, Spain. Thus far, in 2024, we have completed long sits in Northumberland, UK and Chicago and San Francisco, USA. We returned to the Uk for the summer and a 3 month sit in the South of France, near Avignon. We are heading to Massachusetts and Chicago at the end of April until July then back in the UK and see where we are invited next……
In the past few years, we’ve spent extensive time in India; North, South and Central America and Europe.
We have both owned and renovated homes and lived with animals most of our lives. Vanya spent 5 years establishing a permaculture farm project, living off grid, growing vegetables and taking care of pigs, chickens, sheep, cows, geese, dogs, cats and a donkey.
We both love the outdoors and wildlife.
What can they bring to the assignment
We are a trustworthy, responsible and mature couple with many practical skills. We will protect and love your home and animals (if you have any) as if they are our own. We have permaculture (training) and gardening (some biodynamic) experience and are happy to maintain your outdoor spaces.

Very helpful
Seth and Vanya were very helpful. This was our first time with a sitter since moving to Spain and they came to visit us before the sit so that the dogs knew them (They were only an hour away). They met me at the airport and we swapped over with the car. Then we did likewise on my return. The dogs seemed very happy and well looked after. Vanya sent me photos and messages whilst I was away, so I knew they were happy. The house was clean and tidy on my return and they had washed their bedding for me. I'd happily have them to sit for us again. Thank you both! 🥰

Very lovely people
Seth a d Vanya are very lovely people, quicqly in understanding and they tread your house and goods with respect and your pets with love and patience. We found the house as we had left it. While absent they sent us pictures about the dogs, which is always nice. Hope to meet them again.

It is wonderful to come home to find very happy dogs and a lovely clean house. Vanya and Seth spent a week house sitting for us. We live off grid and they took everything in their stride coping with solar panels, gas bottles and driving on tracks. Our dogs were very well cared for and totally at ease in their company. The house was left clean and tidy and they ensured that there would be food ready waiting for us after a long day of travelling. Seth and Vanya are a thoughtful, reliable and very friendly couple. They sent us regular updates with videos and pictures of our dogs. Seth and Vanya were absolutely exceptional.They looked after our dogs, cats, and home as if it were their own, and we would be delighted to have them back as house sitters.

Great sitters
Seth and Vanya were great sitters. We returned to a very happy, contented Skye, who had had fabulous daily walks along with lots of cuddles and attention - a perfect holiday for her! Vanya and Seth were reliable, practical, relaxed and easy going. They also accommodated an unscheduled outage with no apparent difficulty. They were great communicators before and throughout the sit, so we were able to completely relax and enjoy our holiday. We would happily have them sit for us again.

Absolutely outstanding
Vanya and Seth are absolutely outstanding house sitters and caring animal lovers. When they accepted our invitation to sit, none of our three dogs needed any medication. Shortly before our vacation, one of our dogs had to be put on heart medication. I gave them a heads up and asked if they were comfortable giving medication, and they were. As if that wasn’t enough, one of our other two dogs injured his leg during some backyard zoomies and had a deep wound that needed to be taken care of, plus oral antibiotics. Vanya and Seth met with me at our vet’s office to learn how to take care of the wound. We had a couple of other unplanned things happen, but our wonderful sitters took care of everything and everyone while giving us peace of mind during our international travels. We received daily updates with photos of three happy dogs, and we were not worried once. I knew our dogs were in the best loving hands.  When we returned, we found the house clean, organized and, most importantly, three happy dogs who were obviously very attached to their sitters. We even found a sweet homemade treat in the kitchen for us to enjoy. Positive vibes all over! Thank you, Vanya and Seth!

Wonderful
Seth and Vanya were so wonderful with our dog! They offered to walk him as we finished packing up, which was so great for him as that’s an anxious time. Vanya and Seth were happy to meet us and our two dogs before the sit date and gave us the confidence that the sit would go well. Experienced sitters

They had a love for dogs
As soon as Vanya and Seth arrived at our house you could clearly see that they had a love for dogs. What a lovely couple and they instantly made me and my husband feel relaxed. We went off on holiday (daughters wedding in Sorrento)feeling happy that our three dogs would be loved and well cared for. Vanya and Seth sent us pictures and updates during our week away, of the dogs having fun and being pampered. On our return the house was clean and tidy and the dogs were happy and relaxed. Exceptional care from two wonderful souls
Our dogs absolutely adored them, and I bet they didn't want Vanya and Seth to ever leave. And talk about spoiling! Vanya and Seth treated Freya and Byron to bones and treats, ensuring they lived the good life while we were away. Coming back home, the house was even tidier than we left it (shoutout to Vanya for that kitchen cupboard magic!). They truly treated our home with respect and consideration. While we were away, the communication was on point: photo updates of the doggies, regular check-ins, and that warm feeling of knowing everything's A-OK at home. Even when faced with a sudden emergency, they did everything humanly possible and assisted in every way they could. With Vanya and Seth, we didn't just find homeminders; we discovered two wonderfully considerate, kind, and loving souls. We hope to have them back again!
