About this sitter

Greetings! I am Kamille and was born and raised on the island of Oahu and grew up in a tiny little town on a sugar plantation. I left the island a year and half ago after marrying my Navy husband and now live just outside Cadiz in Rota, Spain. I am a web developer and have been for 20 years and I own my own web development company so I can work from anywhere. Personally, my interests include everything and anything outdoors, especially hiking and biking. I am also obsessed with travel and have a natural curiosity for the world and its stories of the past and I enjoy laughing even at my own expense!

Being a business owner for so long, a lot of the success comes from being reliable, responsive, easy to work with & strong communication so I plan to bring those skills with me. I am very quiet & my partying days are faaaar behind me. I do not smoke, & will be respectful to your homes, rules, and of course your lovable pets.

Why they want to house sit

Being a web developer gives me the privilege of working from anywhere in the world so I am usually traveling 5-6 months of the year. I participate in volunteer programs a couple times a year to meet locals from around the world and I think house sitting would also give me the same opportunities. I have visited a lot of cities but I think it would be great to get into the actual neighborhoods & spend time among the people who really live there.

With that thought in mind, I also support the other wanderlusters out there who like to explore the world but need someone dependable and affectionate to care for their home and furry friends.

My husband cares for our cat while I travel (unless we are traveling together in which case we get a sitter as well) but I do miss having her presence with me while on the road & traveling solo can get lonely so I would love to spend time with other animals so we can keep each other company!

Their experience

As child on the plantation we had room for a variety of animals. We had everything from dogs, to cats, geese, turtles, & birds so my love for animals started at a very young age. Additionally while growing my business, I spent many a day working from home with only my pets to keep me company so they are honestly who I spend the most time with aside from my husband.

I am new to Mind my House and I am still looking to grow my profile and my reviews so I am hoping to find someone to give me a chance! I have been on Trusted House Sitters for a few years and received 5 star reviews until the pandemic hit and many of my sits got canceled. I am just now starting to get back into the game here and figured I'd give this site a try as well.

I am looking forward to doing some sits close to me to build my review profile, but absolutely open to traveling abroad too. I am willing to do a video chat if you would like to meet me first and see if I am a good fit. I am looking forward to this new venture!

What can they bring to the assignment

Since I work remotely, I do spend a fair amount of time indoors which means your pets will get a lot of time to spend with me. Typically I visit the city during the day and starting in the late afternoon I work till later in the evening. I love getting lots of photos and updates of my pets when I travel so I always do the same. I am reliable, quiet, and will also care for your property as needed and requested.
