About this sitter
We are retirees, Mike, a former a self-employed recruiter and Carol, a Registered Nurse whose passion is travel. We live in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. .We are clean living home owners, having owned since 1984, and have experience caring for both domestic and farm animals. We will care for your home, as if it is our own.
Why they want to house sit
Housesitting is appealing, for the obvious reason, it's an economical way of travel. Our experience as homeowners gave us a caring perspective needed to occupy a home and to love animals in our charge. We also enjoy meeting prospective clients, and gain great satisfaction in building a trustworthy, dependable relationship, where homeowners will want us again.

We've owned homes since 1984. When we rented or have done sits, we've taken care of the home as if they were our own. We love animals and have had many pets over the years. Carol is a farm girl, and took care of many kinds - dogs, cats, cows, horses, chickens, etc. Carol volunteers at the Humane Society weekly walking dogs of all breeds. We've done several house/pet sits since 2023 through Trusted Housesitters and Mindmyhouse.

House Sit North Portugal
We were fortunate to have the opportunity to invite Mike and Carol to sit our house and three dogs in Northern Portugal during the month of June 2026. Both Mike and Carol have an affinity with animals, and made our pets feel relaxed in their company, as rescue dogs with anxiety issues this is not always an easy task. Our trip away was made easier with the knowledge that the dogs were being well cared for. The house was clean and tidy on our return and as a bonus we enjoyed the company of our sitters and would welcome them back in the future. Carol & Mike are very reliable, friendly and clean. Also, the communication was clear. Almost every day they would send a picture of our cats and update us about them. They left the condo clean and treated our cats very well. Thank you!
