Thanks for showing interest in receiving house sitting services from us :) my name is Love Markin, I’m 23 years old, traveling and housesitting with my husband, Daniel Markin, he goes by Xander (his middle name) though, who is also 23. We’re currently living in northeast Oklahoma. Xander works full time and I take care of the home and am an artist. We enjoy visiting new places with a quaint, homey environment. We both enjoy making music individually and together. We’re both home bodies at heart, which means we also love snuggles from sweet fur babies and just spending our downtime at home with each other. We love solitude and don’t really like to connect with much people, we have a small circle of friends, and we each love a lot of alone time so we don’t make it a point to go out much or connect with a lot of new people for now. The ideal house sit for us is long term so Xander can work, we can connect and stabilize in new environments with ease, and create happy memories while serving others as well as they serve us. We love house sitting because we get so much more freedom of course but we also get to know new locations and trustworthy people, which brings healthy change into our lives. A calm environment with well respected privacy is always a preference for us, as we are very laid back and sensitive to a lot of stimulation.

Why they want to house sit

I have been house sitting for almost 4 years and Xander and I have been doing this together now for almost a year. We love housesitting, it gives us an opportunity to travel to new places with purpose in navigating a new homeland where we can enjoy the life we’re living together to the fullest extent. This is another reason why long term sits are more preferred as well. We love being able to get the vibe of different communities, connect with nature, and be of support with those that also love traveling and experiencing new things. House sitting has been so supportive to me and my husband so we may travel and experience safe, stable living quarters while doing so. It also gives us opportunities to connect with plants/animals without the complete responsibility of having our own right now. . We are young and taking these years as an opportunity to see what it’s like to have our own home together, maybe take care of a pet…or a child in the future…and housesitting is definitely allowing us to expand our experience in living life together in a new, fun way.

What can they bring to the assignment

We prioritize kindness and gentleness in all connections. As I stated before, we’re sensitive people, although, we have a wild sense of humor. We provide clear, transparent, frequent communication and we’re very clean people, in an almost obsessive way. I have years of experience in housekeeping and I am the oldest of 7 children so as a result I am, by habit, a very clean person. I’ve had a bit of experience in plant care and studying herbology, simply because it brings me great joy. And as I stated previously, Xander and I are also musicians so the home will be filled with good energy and relaxing tunes while we are present (lots of fur babies seem to like this.) All laughs aside though, we are passionate in what we do and taking care of something or someone that is loved by others greatly is important to us, as we are lovers of travel and hope someone may be able to do the same for us someday. We provide a calm an organized way of living for our own peace and the peace of any creatures we care for. We both have had experience in taking care of many different species of animals, but especially kitties and chickens. I grew up caring for many different farm animals during my adolescent years as well, although my physical abilities with this are now much more limited. I even cared for a herd of alpacas one winter when I was 21! Throughout the years of connecting with so many beings, we’ve learned that low maintenance and generally calm animals are best for us with our current schedule. We want to be transparent about this to make sure that we can fully give the love and support deserved while still getting to remain focused in our health, happiness, work, and play, as well as our relationships with each other, friends, and family.
