About this sitter

I am a retired widow, living in Northern Arizona. I still work part-time at my church, and help my son with his real estate appraisal business. I am an author, writing Christian fiction. I have published 17 books, all on Amazon, and use my travels to bring life and location to my stories.

Why they want to house sit

I love to travel! I am blessed to have retirement travel benefits with American Airlines, so I can fly at virtually no cost worldwide. However, on a fixed income, I can't afford to do anything once I get there! I just returned from a 10 day trip to the Cotswolds in England, researching my next book. I met a delightful couple from Australia at a B&B who have been housesitting for mindymyhouse for several years. Their experiences sounded like the perfect answer to my dilemma!

Their experience

Unofficially, yes. By that I mean that although this is the first time I have signed up on a housesitting site, I have often taken care of friends and family's homes and pets while they went on vacation.

What can they bring to the assignment

By nature I am neat and orderly, and will respect the homeowner's property. I also love dogs, cats, birds and the occasional farm animal (I have raised chickens in the past), and prefer a rural setting where I can help tend flower and vegetable gardens. I'm also an avid nature photographer, so together with my writing, I am excited to explore new countries and cultures!
