I love nature, I have a big heart for animals and a job that allows me to travel

About this sitter

I am 47 years old, active, physically fit, mother of two children, ex-mom of a cat (raised in our house and died in an accident two years ago) now mom of a dog (also raised in our house, now 1 year old), literature translator (freelance and thus absolutely flexible timewise). I an a calm, relaxed and open person, responsible and well-organized, cleanly and travel-proof. I have a drivers license.
I love nature and spend a lot of time in the woods, either biking or walking my dog or (in autumn) looking for mushrooms to cook. I have the luxury of having a job that allows me to work from everywhere, as long as there is a stable Internet connection. My kids are already grown-up enough, so when my husband takes care of them, I can enjoy the freedom to travel from time to time, which I do the take a break from my everyday routine, "recharge" my energy and gain new impressions.
What I look for in a house to sit: I would prefer something in the countryside to the city center, with "quick access" to nature. If it is near the sea, all the better! But I also enjoy visiting foreign cities.
I also do gardending, if necessary, as I love that, too. I also have quiet some experience with it as I have my own little garden. I try to live and eat in a sustainable way because this way I can do something good for our planet and our future.

Why they want to house sit

To take a break from my usual routine, to see new places and be inspired by them, to practice my practical language skills and be to myself for a while. I think a little break from the usual is like a refill of your battery.

Their experience

I have been taking care of a complete house (with two kids, and a pet) for almost 15 years now.
I have raised both a cat and a dog from the "cradle", so I have lots of experience with both. When I was young, we also had guinny pigs and rabbits. I used to do horseback riding, so I am also fine with "larger" animals.
