Hello,
I'd love to collaborate with you in taking great care of your home and/or animals. I am looking for someone with good communication who is clear on what they expect. I have my own transportation and have lived on my own for many years. I look forward to talking more with you about your needs and expectations!

Why they want to house sit

There are a few reasons why house-sitting appeals to me.

First off, I love animals. I have a pet sitting business I've run the past 5 years. It's been wonderful. I started it because I missed being around dogs. My three doggos had gradually passed away and in my grief, I decided to care for other people's dogs. Five years later and I have a lot of regulars and new clients that I just adore!

Additionally, I love to travel and I like to take advantage of the time my schedule allows it. I'm intensely curious about the world around me, especially art and nature, and I love to explore new places.

So, the idea of traveling to new or familiar places and caring for dogs/animals is something that appeals to me. I take the care of people's homes and pets very seriously, as I know how precious and beloved our pets are.

Their experience

My top priority when I care for your pets is this:
Are they safe?
Are they happy?
In that order. I will never sacrifice their safety for anything. But I want them to be happy too, as long as it's done safely.
As stated, I have had a pet-sitting business active for 4 years. I have used Rover dot com mostly but have also sat for clients privately. I had my own dogs for 14 years. I have over 100 reviews on my Rover profile that I am happy to give you access to through email (there is a link on this profile also). I also have a business Instagram that is public that I can give you if needed.
During my time as a pet sitter, I experienced a lot of different scenarios.
I've had emergency vet visits (thankfully only 1x!).
Lots of car rides, (always seat belted in/secured), leashed and off-leash walks( with owners permission ALWAYS), reactive dogs,(take things very slowly, lots of patience) separation anxiety,(extra extra love), some dogs are slow to warm up (go at their pace) and many other situations.

What can they bring to the assignment

What I can bring to the assignment is:

Love. I love animals and their people are usually pretty great too
Experience, 5-star reviews, and references to go with that.
Reliability, I will be there on the agreed upon day and time and stay the duration agreed upon. I will fulfill the agreed-upon commitment.
Responsibility, I will respect your property and act like a mature grown-up. I will recognize that it can be anxiety-inducing to leave your home/animals to a virtual stranger so I will do everything in my power to help you feel comfortable.
Communication, I highly value good communication. Even just a few words through text that things are going well can put a mind at ease. You can reach me (barring cell service issues etc.) during the housesit, through phone or email.
Adaptability, each dog/cat etc has their own needs. Some are low energy, some high, some shy, some eager, some love walks, some just want to play tug, and some just want snuggles. Some are picky about food, some will eat anything. Some like to be petted and some don't, and on and on!
I don't force a dog to be a certain way or expect them to just adapt to what I want. I meet them where THEY are. If they have a lot of energy then we can play ball and take a long walk. If they are shy, then I will take it super slow until they are comfortable with me. I'm here to help, not harm.
