About this sitter

We are Carla and Joe Lemik, high school sweethearts who continue to seek out adventures that solidify our life long pursuit of love, companionship, and fun! We have owned several homes over the years, raised 2 children and have 3 grandchildren. We have lived in both urban and country settings and have enjoyed all the facets of home ownership. We love meeting new people and sharing life experiences. When we travel we enjoy visits to museums, estate gardens, historical sites, and learning about other cultures and foods. Slowing down is not one of our options! Retired from project management and teaching, we are always seeking new adventures to experience life! Our latest quest is to expand ourselves and sit for homeowners that need good, honest, and reliable people to care for their home. We are them!

Why they want to house sit

We feel house sitting is a rewarding way to travel and experience different lifestyles in the world, and at the same time contribute to our journey by earning our keep. We want to live like the locals, absorbing the authentic lifestyles of the location and the people.

Their experience

We have been owners of residential and vacation properties for more than 45 years but have not yet participated in house sitting ventures, neither domestically nor abroad. That being said, we are very excited to seek out our first true experience.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are now enjoying apartment living which enables us to be available throughout the year. We have many years under our belts in gardening and landscaping, remodeling, repairing, and entertaining. We both enjoy cooking and baking for family and friends. Joe has been an amateur winemaker for 7 years now, and Carla enjoys learning about and caring for several varieties of houseplants.We love the outdoors which includes fishing, camping, hiking, enjoying campfires, and viewing the beautiful sunrises and sunsets wherever we are, We recently have been providing house keeping services for VRBO and AirBNB properties.
