About this sitter
I'm a recent retiree who now has the chance to fulfill travel dreams. I'm currently in the UK and available to house/pet sit. Am more than happy to do jobs around the house or garden. I am a non-smoker and have a clean driver's licence. Am keen to spend time in cold, wet, stormy, snowy places. Australian heatwaves and bushfires will do that to a person.
Why they want to house sit
Looking for a change of scenery and the opportunity to travel to out of the way places. Some great walks and places of historical interest would be ideal.
Their experience
I now have a number of house/pet sits under my belt, all of which have gone very well. I also own my house with garden (25 years plus) and understand the importance of having a reliable person in place. I have had 3 dogs of my own in the past - 2 rottweilers and a staffy/lab cross at different times - all with lovely temperaments.
What can they bring to the assignment
Enthusiasm, conscientiousness, and common sense. Am fit with no health issues.

Absolutely Fabulous Irene!

Lincolnshire House/Pet Sit
Irene is a very concientious house/pet sitter. She is very friendly and we gtot on well with her as soon as we met her at the station. Our fury and feathered family also took to her staight away. She took great care of them all and everything was clean and tidy on our return. We can recomend Irene to anyone.

One Week House/cat sit
Irene was very easy to communicate with and we had a video call initially to make sure both parties were happy. All arrangements were quick and we felt she was very reliable from the outset. When we met Irene, she was very easy to chat with and interesting. On return from holiday, the house was lovely and clean and the cats were clearly well looked after. We would love to have Irene back in future. Highly recommended.

Shropshire housesit
Irene was a delight to meet and easy to get along with on our first meeting and we spent a good afternoon and evening together as she got to know the pets, home and the local area. During my absence Irene took great care of my two pets and home and kept in just the right amount of contact. Both Bubble and Miss Polly Pocket were in great shape when I returned and obviously were very contented in her company. The house was also immaculate and my garden transformed as Irene very kindly undertook to weed the borders during my absence - I can't thank her enough. I have no hesitation in recommending Irene to other homeowners and I would welcome her return to housesit for me in the future.

Incredible Irene
Irene looked after 4year old Salsa for me whilst I was away. When I got back I could see they had bonded! Salsa was very relaxed and the house was super tidy and clean! Thank you so much! I would highly recommend Irene to look after any pet + house.

Irene
We had never had a house sitter before so we were quite nervous, but as soon as we met Irene we knew she was just perfect - friendly, responsible, communicative and an all round nice person. We were away for a month and she looked after our nervous cat and made friends with him (which must have taken a lot of patience!) She also left the house spotless, a lot cleaner than we ever manage, and did loads of work in the garden. Here’s hoping we can have her back for another visit before she returns to Oz!

Amazing housesitter, 100% recommendation!
Irene is a lovely, friendly lady who took great care of my dogs and house. She did some amazing work in the house and garden and it looked so much better than when I left, thank you! Irene was great at communicating before and during the house sit and super friendly when we met putting my mind at ease that the dogs and house would be well looked after. My only worry is that future housesitters have an awful lot to live up to now, you will feel like you’ve hit the jackpot if Irene house sits for you!
