About this sitter
I am retired and have no cats at the moment, so a time to travel the world. But I am missing cats around me, I had cats my whole life. So baby sitting cats is a great solution to combine both. I took some courses with a cat expert in The Netherlands, read books about cat behavior and handling and I am a 10 year volunteer at the animal shelter in 's-Hertogenbosch (Netherlands). I also volunteered at the animal shelter in Lansing Michigan and took the course to get the Fear Free certificate. And was a volunteer in the Marion Count shelter in Ocala.
Why they want to house sit
I am more interested in the cats then in the house. Although I like the house to be in a natural environment, so I can take nature walks.
Their experience
I had cats all my life, but the last one died in 2022. Just at the moment I retired. At this moment, August 2023, I had three sitting jobs of a month in the US and a week in The Hague in the Netherlands and ten days in Scotland. All of them gave me a very positive review, but the reviews are spread over three sites. I am still taking courses, the latest about improving welfare of cats in shelters.
What can they bring to the assignment
I love cats, I know how to handle them. Due to my volunteer work I have a lot of experience in all kinds of cats. I don't have a problem with cleaning litterboxes (at home I did it twice a day) and I like playing with the cats as it is a great way to get to know each other.

Thankyou for your care and affection
Frank houses sat for 10 days in September 2023 to mainly care for our elderly cat Zinzin, aged 19. From the start Frank came across as a caring cat man and with that he was attentive, methodical, reliable and easy going. We thank him very much for his attention he gave to Zinzin, including a 'warming blanket' for extra special comfort. We also believe that Frank thoroughly enjoyed exploring the local area and was comfortable in our home of which he left it spotless for our return. Thankyou Frank from the 3 of us.

The perfect house sitter
We are so glad that we found Frank to house and cat sit for us. Out cat absolutely loved him. He understands animals really well and he is an expert in their care and happiness. He kept in regular contact with us, sending us pics of our happy cat. He handled all sort of house-related tasks for us, including keeping the lawn up well. He is very neat and clean, the house was in great shape when we came back. Highly highly recommended!

Excellent Cat and House Sitter
My husband and I feel very fortunate to have had Frank reach out to us via this website. We have never had a sitter arriving from out of the country to visit the U.S. and also participate in housesitting. He took the initiative to open the lines of communication with us, asking for a video meeting. At our first meeting, my husband and I were extremely impressed with Frank and his life story, a genuine person. We knew that he would fit in with our cats and home and we all agreed to the house sit. We kept the lines of communication open until his scheduled visit. He kept us updated and was on time for the sit. Upon meeting him in person, he was exactly like he was on the video conference! He was attentive during the house sharing information and cat schedules. He read through the house notebook we have for sitters and asked questions. We left knowing we had someone in the house who would take care of our cats wonderfully! During our time away, we were kept informed, and we received numerous pictures of our pets. We were so pleased to come home and be welcomed by a happy sitter and two happy cats! We now have a new hobby thanks to Frank: geocaching. We knew very little about it, and Frank introduced a whole new world of hide and seek to us. Thank you Frank it was certainly a pleasure to meet you and we hope to keep in touch! Anyone on this site would be pleased to have Frank as a house sitter and friend.
