About this sitter

We are Mark and Meta, video editor and visual artist/art teach er (www.meta-joan.nl). We live healthy, love the outdoors, don't smoke and believe in good food and cooking.
After too many dreary Dutch winters we decided to leave our house and studio for the wintermonths.
Traveling with our comfortable camper we combine pet and house sitting with working remote and say hello to the sun more often.
We don’t have pets of our own anymore so taking care of your home and pets is a great opportunity for us to have their company for some time, and we enjoy it very much.
Getting to know the character of the pets in and around the house where we are guests, and to live and work in a different country and environment inspires us. Mark has worked as a farmhand on farms in Holland, Australia an Brazil. Meta has been a volunteer for the animal ambulance. Both of us had cats and dogs previously.
Of course we will treat your pets and house with as much care as if it were our own.

Why they want to house sit

Pets, farm animals, furry friends and feathered friends are wonderful company! We miss them as we don't have our own anymore, we travel too much. So we find petsitting very enriching and working remote through the winter while getting some loved sunshine traveling South, very much inspiring.

Their experience

In our ten years of experience petsitting we had cats, dogs, chickens and roosters, a wonderful turkey, mini sheep, goats, ducks, rabbits and fish. We've also maintained and sat houses and properties. Every sit has been a wonderful experience, sometimes more demanding than others but as we like to solve problems it actually just adds to the good memories. We are patient, act when neccessary, we can work with special needs like medicinal treatment. We love animals and it's so rich to spend time getting to know their characters and finding their comfortzone.

What can they bring to the assignment

We bring a lot of love for pets, good experience and curiosity for them as well!
