About this sitter
I'm Mark, a 39-year-old English translator living in Paris. I've been living in France for almost 4 years now, sneaking in just before Brexit complicated things. I'm looking to take care of people's homes and animals in France and other countries in Europe. I'm pretty flexible as I work from home, so can be available fairly last minute.
Why they want to house sit
I love to explore different places and it's obviously nice to get out of the city every now and again (Paris can be stressful at times). Being freelance gives me the freedom to work from anywhere, so it makes me ideal for house sitting, and house sitting ideal for me. I also love animals, but am currently unable to have any myself, so I'd relish the opportunity to spend time looking after other people's animals.
Their experience
I regularly look after homes and pets for friends when they go away, as I have several friends who have cats and dogs. I also grew up with dogs and cats in the family, so I am very accustomed to looking after them.
What can they bring to the assignment
I am a very respectful and responsible person, so am more than capable of looking after other people's homes while they're away. As I mentioned, this is something I have done many times for friends.
Being a freelance translator, I can effectively work from anywhere. This means I have a very flexible schedule and can be available pretty last minute.
I also love animals, as I mentioned, and have plenty of experience looking after my own and my friends' pets. If you entrust me with your home and animals, they will be in the best of hands!

Great house minder
We really enjoyed having Mark mind our animals and our place while we were away. He made sure to keep us up to date on how the dogs and cat were and looked after them really well. They loved the walks. Mark was also relaxed and easy-going which made the whole process so smooth and hassle-free. Highly recommended house sitter!
Mark took care of my cat Tristan and my apartment while I was away for two weeks. I am very happy with how he took care of Tristan and followed the instructions given. They seemed to get along very well! He gave me updates on how things were going and communication was excellent. He left the apartment clean and tidy. I can nothing but recommend Mark as house sitter and would be happy to welcome him back to Malmö!

Lovely, responsible person
Mark looked after my cat, Chaton, at my home in Caen and did a great job. He was really friendly and communicative, sending me pictures throughout, and he left my home nice and clean at the end of his stay. He clearly loves animals and was great with Chaton. I would highly recommend him!
