NOTE: Bc of the old and renewed listing we now have some double testimonials but I think they do shed some light onto our character.
Cornelia- professional visual artist and lover of everything gardening, and Will - former engineer turned carpenter.
We want to, (together or just one of us), take good care of your home, pet/s and garden/s for you in your absence.
Our home base is in Western New York where we have several rental properties and also an airbnb unit. We are both bilingual, interested in culture/s and experiencing new things in the world, food enthusiasts who love cooking and eating :) We enjoy hiking, nature, cities, and staying in as well.
Why they want to house sit
House sitting is great for immediately fitting in, being more like the locals. Thankfully, it is not the detached tourist experience. It gives us wonderful realtionships and connections with people, animals and places we would not have had otherwise. And sometimes it gets you out of your comfort zone, which can also be a benefit and growth experience.

We both have grown up around animals and have owned cats, dogs, birds, turtles, hamsters, and more. Will grew up on a dairy farm.

Organizational and some technological skills will also come in handy, as well as lots and lots of knowledge around houses.
We received our Covid vaccinations, do not use tabacco or other drugs, and have no intentions of partying at your property.

Great caretakers
Cornelia and Will stayed with our dog and canaries and did everything requested of them. They kept a nice clean house and brought (or bought locally) most of their own food. Everyone was fed, watered and walked. I would recommend them as pet/house sitters .

Responsive detailed housesitters
We contracted with Cornelia and Will for our vacation last fall. They were very responsive , easy to work with and more than generous. As it happened we lost our dog ad the vacation spot was taken by the hurricane so we didn't travel. They were kind enough to offer to withdraw their application which was a relief to me since I was concerned about then having taken time off work to sit for us. As a result I cannot speak to the other details but feel certain we would have been pleased.

Absolutely recommend!
So, Cornelia watched my cats years ago, and it took me a while to write this because I was busy having kids and getting a divorce! Cornelia was a fabulous cat-sitter, compassionate, communicative and thoughtful. She left my house cleaner than before I left. My cats were thrilled and I came home to a warm and welcoming house. Here's a testament to Cornelia; she and I have stayed in touch all these years! She is kind, responsible, not a partier in any way, a talented artist and someone im now glad to call a friend. You'll be lucky to have her watch your place!

Extremely conscientious, friendly and loving to our pets!
Cornelia flew in from the EastCoast to SF, CA to sit for our 2 kitties and dog for her first MMH gig. She was super organized and brought printed copies of agreements for us both. She was very professional and wanted to ensure that she had all our house rules clear. Cornelia kept in touch during our trip and sent us cute pictures and stories. When we got back she was great company and has kept in touch ever since. She even got a little teary when she gave the animals hugs and kisses goodbye. If Cornelia wants to sit for you, you are lucky! Your animals (and plants) will be well taken care of!
