Animal-loving documentary filmmaker seeking long housesits for editing and writing

About this sitter

I’m a documentary filmmaker and camerawoman. I'm also completing a Master of Peace and Conflict Studies with a focus on virtual-reality experiences for peace interventions.

My other interests include hiking, rock climbing, trail running, piano, gardening, sustainable living, and humanitarian work.

I’m looking for long housesits (1 month +) that I can use as a creative retreat…preferably with animal company.

Why they want to house sit

I plan to travel and housesit around the world for the next year or two so I can focus on editing two unfinished documentaries on my slate. I'm also completing a post-graduate degree remotely. I'm seeking peace and quiet with animal company and cuddles. Your home will be a creative retreat, your pets my constant companions.

Their experience

I grew up in a house that was an unofficial refuge for cats, dogs, birds, possums, horses, cows and any other creature in need of a home.

My first house-sit was in La Alpujarras (Spain) in 2011 for 4 months whilst I was completing my first film. I had the pleasure of looking after 4 dogs, 2 horses, and a cat. As well as taking care of extensive gardens and fruit trees.

Since then, I've taken care of pets and homes in Norway, UK, USA, France, and Australia.

What can they bring to the assignment

I’m trustworthy, tidy, level-headed, and a complete animal-lover (I’ve been vegan since I was a kid). I’m not housesitting as a holiday or to sightsee, I’ll be home most of the time aside from daily runs and walks. Your pets and plants will be cared for as if they are my own.
