About this sitter
We are a French-British couple. Laurent (35) and Helen (37). We have been together for almost 10 years and we have had a little cat called Raclette for 7 years. We both grew up with cats at our parents home.
We are looking for clean and tidy space in a house sit while being trusted to look after it by the owner. We expect transparency and honest communications between the two parties.
Why they want to house sit
I work remotely. We decided to house sit to see new parts of Europe, change environments and settings. The goal is to gain back the emotional energy after a difficult year 2022 and 2023.
While we travel across Europe, we will let a very good friend of ours look after our little cat Raclette. This is heartbreaking for us but probably the best option as she dislikes car journeys and being out of her routine.
My husband plans to network and look for work remotely while house sitting in a new environment since he recently lost his job in the company he worked for due to the inflation crisis and the war in Ukraine

I have done one sitting so far for a little cat in Paris for 2 weeks.
What can they bring to the assignment
I can maintain a house independently as I am myself owner of my main residence.
Plants, swimming pools (used to maintain my parent's), pets and common house maintenance are known to me.

Autumnal house and cat sit in Congleton
Helen and Laurent stayed at our house mainly to look after our cat for 3 weeks in October/November 2023 while we were away in France. Circumstances meant that we were not really able to get to know Helen nor Laurent before we left them in charge. We had only a couple of hours with them at either end of the assignment to discuss local matters – we need not have worried though. We were kept well informed as to how they were being entertained by Kitten and received several photos from them showing a very relaxed cat in their company. Upon our return, there was nothing adverse to report, the house was clean and tidy and Kitten came to welcome us, looking very healthy. Congleton may not have the Wow factor of other locations, but we would welcome them back as house and pet sitters if they should so wish. We wish them both well
